My friend and I spent a week at Heidi's over Christmas. Heidi was very friendly, and checked in daily to make sure we had everything that we needed. Our room was clean, with fresh sheets and towels daily. The shared kitchen was great! Fully equipped for cooking almost anything. The common area downstairs was wonderful. Lots of couches, tables and hammocks to lounge in. Overall a wonderful atmosphere and stay! I was happy to spend my Christmas at Coconut Grove!
Clean, safe, cozy place located in the centre of Puerto Viejo. You have a fully equipped kitchen at your disposal with spices and everything. Heidi, the owner of the place, is always in a good mood and more than happy to help you with anything. The ground floor is full of hammocks and other places perfect for chillaxing. It is a bit pricier than an average hostel in Puerto Viejo but during our two weeks stay we have not seen anything nicer in the town. (And trust us, after two weeks, you DO know the "city" :))
