A brilliantly located apartment with easy access to all the best places in London, be it tourist hot spots, or your taste in entertainment. You'll have the apartment all to yourself.

The space

Your accommodation at this great basement apartment consists of a spacious living room with kitchenette, a double bedroom and an en-suite wet room.
The living room makes a perfect hang out, with dining table, digital flat screen TV, wifi, DAB radio/ipod dock, and a small double sofa bed ideally suited for one for any extra guests. Here you can also cook to your hearts content (or prep a cheeky take away from the many delicious local restaurants) in the kitchenette. It includes all the modern conveniences such as kettle, toaster, induction hob, microwave/convection oven, washer/dryer and under counter fridge-freezer - although the local grocery store is just across the road...quite literally!

The Double bedroom with its 'novel' wallpaper has a south-facing window, complete with en-suite wet room. There is a hanging rail and two chests of draws for those of you who have packed too much.

The ceiling height is 6'6"/2.04 metres, so if you are super tall and like a good stretch, admittedly it may not be the place for you!

The apartment was first dreamed up when we bought the Georgian townhouse it sits within. Dating back to 1830 it must have seen many an interesting guest, we look forward to you being the next.

Guest access

The apartment is all yours with your own front door, no sharing required except for with your own party.
All appliances and tech are there for you to use. Unpack your case, hang up your clothes, fill the draws and make yourself at home.

Interaction with guests

We live in the main house above the apartment, so if you need anything or any recommendations, we are happy to help. We love guests and look forward to welcoming you to our neighborhood. When we are away our neighbour Luke is always on hand to help out, meet and greet.

Other things to note

Transport to the apartment from all the major airports is easy, especially Heathrow and Gatwick where the express trains are just a bus away which will take you door to door. Full travel instructions are available to you upon booking.

The flat is so cozy and absolutely charming! It was the perfect space for two--the bathroom is small so it could be cramped with any more people. There's a Co-op across the street so you can pick up anything you forgot to bring, and the access to public transit couldn't be more convenient. The neighborhood is eclectic and is relatively quiet for how busy it is. All in all, it was the perfect spot to call home during our visit!

My friend and I had a great stay at this flat! It's clean, convenient, and cozy! We had all the information we needed for our stay and Luke was available our entire visit if we had questions or needed assistance. We never did but it was great to know we had someone to call if needed! We made a lot of our own meals and we're able to travel all over the city easily to museums and other landmarks. We would absolutely stay again!

This is our third stay so that will tell you that we find it a great place to stay in London. Always appreciate having bread, butter, milk, and juice stocked. Very convenient for buses (it's great to get on the bus to Paddington right outside when you have luggage) and the tube quite nearby too. Lots more restaurants open now up the road near Camberwell Green and the New Dewaniam remains a good choice too. We'll be back!

We had a nice time in London, the flat was great for our needs. It is conveniently placed for public transport in and out of the city. Check in was easy. The bathroom is a bit tricky as there is no shower curtain and no shelving to put stuff but it isn't a big issue. We only met Ben and Susannah very briefly on our way out but they seemed lovely.

Cosy apartment, great host, close to the bus and nice pubs near by.

We had a great stay at Ben and Susannah's place. It was situated directly next to a bus stop and few blocks away from a tube station. It never took us more than 15-20 mins to get where we needed to go. The bathroom/shower is rather tiny, but perfect for our quick three night stay! I would definitely recommend their place! Cheers :)

Maybe we just got bad luck, but past reviewers raved about the hospitality of the host and freshly-baked bread, milk, and butter—this was not our experience. Perhaps the owners worked really hard to get a lot of good reviews so now they feel like they can be a bit more lax? Not sure. The best parts about this apartment were the bus stop right out front, and the grocery store right across the street. Unfortunately the bathroom wasn't the cleanest. Additionally, the bed's mattress is quite sunken in the middle, but it ensured my husband and I were always cuddling by morning! ;)

Hi, we are Ben and Susannah (plus baby River).
We are both freelancers working as an actor and TV Producer/Director respectively. In our spare/ 'between contracts' time we love renovating properties and like to think of ourselves as 'lifestyle entrepreneurs' (a phrase coined by good friends of ours - equally media/rennovators/day time coffee meet-uper-ers).
