Sandra is an amazing hostess. She has such a great connexion with people so you feel immediately good around her. She is not only friendly (with a good sense of humour), she is also very considering and helpful, in any circomstances. We are so greatful for all she has done for us :
- coming and helping us to drive up the hills
- for all the good advices and recommendations about the area
- for the nice chats together in the morning
- for being so patient and considering when I lost my keys ! ( we have experienced her real kindness !!)
- for having prepared such a nice barbecue for 12 friends with only less than 1 day notice. All our friends have complimented Sandra's beautiful mind and great food in the evening.
- for the clean and nice place she offered us. What a stunning view from everywhere in the place !
For sure she also have great friends around her as we saw the reception fully filled with flowers the day of her birthday !
Sandra, you really deserve the best ! We fully enjoyed the time spent a your place and hope that maybe we will have the chance to see you again.
Bonny & Vincent
Sandra's B & B is everything that it promises to be. It has character, charm, it is central and best of all - it offers a breathtaking view of Kusadasi and the sea. We were very glad we chose to stay there.
Sandra is a warm, friendly and professional host. She knows exactly how to engage with her guests, but also offer them their own space and privacy. She was knowledgeable about the area and very willing to help with any questions one might have.
The other guests there were also wonderful (only the best stay at Sandra's B & B), and somehow they all add to the very warm, comfortable environment. WHether you are only staying for one or two nights, or for a more extended stay, the Golden Bed is a perfect choice.
Just a little warning, you should be in reasonable shape because you do have a bit of a climb to reach it, but as her sign says : "the best places are always at the top of the hill."
Sandra, thanks for the kind words. I was very pleased to spend your vacation in your cosy and nice Guesthouse. I felt right at home there . All of the furniture chosen with such taste, what a pleasure to be here. Thank you very much! I recommend to all.
Sandra is a warm, knowledgeable host with a clean, character pension just a few minutes uphill from the lively Old Town and the waterfront. For day-trips, I used local buses - they were easy to access and use (a 10-minute walk away).
We arrived in downtown Kusadasi and attempted to drive to Sandra's Inn. We got very close but the narrow lane-ways intimidated us so we parked and walked the last 100 meters to her place. We had rented a small car but it is all relative. Sandra very kindly accompanied us to our car and drove it through the narrow alleys to her place. It was a great stress relief for her to do that after our long drive from Pamukkale. It is a great location but unfortunately for us, she was renovating the roof top terrace which is why it is only 4 *. The bed was great, our room clean and we had our own private balcony w a wonderful view. The breakfasts were tasty and plentiful! We still enjoyed a glass of our wine (Sandra recommended some Turkish brands which were good). We had not run across any good ones to this time. Sandra also recommended some affordable restaurants in Kusadasi which we enjoyed. Sandra also arranged a young man to drive our car out of the maze to the main road which again abated our stress. At times we thought he was driving us through a pedestrian shopping area, (maybe we were). Overall a fun place to stay with easy access to the seaside walking paths. We would like to come back when the terrace is finished.
I was in Turkey for 2 weeks with my father, and Sandra was amongst the nicest people we met on our trip. Flexible with our late arrival time (we were driving), and more than accommodating. Thanks Sandra!
If you are looking for a wonderful place to stay while visiting Kusadasi, look no further than Sandra's pension! It was like we were staying in the home of a good friend.
Sandra's place was exactly what we were looking for. We had a comfortable room with an amazing view of the city. Our room was rustic, inviting and a wonderful place to rest our tired feet after a long day of exploring the city and nearby sights. Sandra made us feel completely welcome and comfortable from the moment she met us at the front door.
Also, it was in a great location in Kusadasi......VERY short walk to the city center, the water front and many great restaurants. The steep hill back to her place will help you burn off any unwanted calories. It is in a non-touristy part of town so we felt like we were able to escape all of the noise of the city and submerge ourselves in the local flavor of the neighborhood. It was extremely quiet at night and also very safe.
The best part was the amazing views of the water and city from her roof-top patio. Each morning, Sandra would greet us with a delicious breakfast, along with great conversation and recommendations.
Most importantly, Sandra is the quintessential hostess! Very responsive, very sweet and a pleasure to meet. She met us as planned and made our VERY early check-out hassle free. She got up with us at 4:00am with a smile and even made us sandwiches for our long journey. She provided a lot of great recommendations for things to do and places to eat and went out of her way to make us feel at home. She helped make airport transfers easy, including sharing a little known secret that AtlasJet provides a free shuttle to other cities when you fly their airline. She also recommended a wonderful English-speaking driver (and friend) named Fevzi who made himself available whenever we needed him despite it being a national holiday. He was extremely friendly and informative.
We can't thank Sandra enough for helping to create the perfect ending to our long vacation! Thanks for everything, Sandra!
I had a wonderful time at Anzac Golden Bed thanks to the wonderful host, Sandra. The place is immaculate with nice rooms and a most beautiful terrace. I highly recommend it.
My friend and I only stayed two short days at the Anzac Golden Bed but enjoyed our time there. Sandra is a great host and was very helpful with any questions we had. The breakfast was delicious and the rooftop terrace had a beautiful view.
Sandra is an amazing hostess and we had a fabulous time in kusadasi. The pension is well located- close to the waterfront and center of town. Morning breakfasts on the terrace were a pleasure- great food and fabulous views and an opportunity to meet other like minded travelers from around the world. Staying at Anzac was like staying at a good friend's place- comfortable and fun!
