here I offer my cozy apartment for spontaneous or long stays in Berlin.
There is a spacious and with everything you need for everyday life as (W-Lan, dishes, towels, blankets and pillows, washing machine, dryer etc., etc.) equipped apartment in Alt-Rixdorf. The apartment has two rooms. In the one room is a double bed, in the second room is a spacious sofa, which can be transformed into an approximately 1,60 x 2 meters sleeping meadow.

Alt-Rixdorf is a small neighborhood in Neukölln, which is really magical. We (my family and I) were able to follow the last few years a wonderful change from a rather suspicious neighborhood to a more than nice neighborhood, and there is no ending is in sight.
There are in the vicinity very nice cafes and bars and you have the feel that there are adding every day some new. If you do not know where to go, you can feel free to contact me, I surely will have the one or the other tip.

As for the connection you have everything right around the corner to quickly travel to every corner of Berlin. min in about 5 minutes. One is on the circle line, where you will find the S 41 and S 42, an example in about 7 min. you can attain Ostkreuz and from there it is quickly after mid etc. etc.
The U-Bahn U7 and e.g. the M41 bus are also within a few minutes.

I hope I have covered everything important. If there should be any questions, simply send an email to me.

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • We spent two weeks in this charming apartment, during an unseasonable Berlin heat wave. The beds were comfy (an additional single bed on the floor of the bedroom was a welcomed addition to the apartment) and the rooms were immaculately cleaned before our arrival.
Because of the four flights of long stairs, only those in fairly good shape should book here. But my husband and I (in our early 60s) and our six-months pregnant daughter had no trouble, even after our long days of exploring Berlin.
In the summer when windows are open, there can be some noise wafting in from the courtyard below, but that's what city living is all about, isn't it. (Earplugs help.) More appealing is the smell of baking bread from the bakery next door.
The neighborhood is funky, but we found good places to buy groceries and some nice, but not fancy, places for light meals, including a tiny organic café that also sells groceries. The train station is just a short walk from the apartment and is on the convenient S Bahn ring, a real plus for getting around Berlin.
The only negative for us was the heat, which was record breaking. This apartment has many windows which makes it very bright, but they are all on one side overlooking a courtyard, so there is no cross ventilation. If our daughter who lives in Berlin had not loaned us a fan, we would have had several sleepless nights. But from talking to Berliners I gather this kind of heat (90+ F days) isn't at all typical, even in July.
Since we were there so long, it was very helpful having both a clothes washer and dryer in the apartment. You won't find this in many German apartments and it's much more appreciated than a dish washer would be.

  • My wife and I recently stayed at Jerome's apartment for three nights. The apartment was clean and includes a washer/dryer that was very helpful. Didn't meet Jerome during our stay, but his nice friend Nico met us on schedule at the apartment to greet us and provide the key. For shorter stays, such as ours, these accomodations are just fine. Be aware that the apartment is on the 4th floor (5th floor by US convention) with no elevator and the apartment is lightly furnished - such as no dresser. The apartment is located in a safe working class neighborhood that is easy to reach from the Schonefeld airport either by bus or train within 30 minutes or so and there is easy access to the S-Bahn for travels into the city.

  • The apartment looks great and creats great atmosphere. I felt very good in it and I have to say that I slept very well. :) I love the big red coach cos it is very comfortable and you can rest on it after hours of walking around Berlin. Kitchen is great, fully equipped, you can even find some food or drinks there (probably maaany previous guests left their things there). The neighbourhood is pretty and silent during the day, some bars are open at night but as we were 4 young girls I do not recommend walking around the streets at night! We felt unsafe. The S-Bahn station is very close and public transport can take you wherever and WHENever you want so you can easily do some sightseeing and partying all day and all night.

Anthony is a great host. He was very kind and helpful when I had problems with paying for the reservation through this service. Don't hesitate to ask him questions - he answers each one of them and helps if he can [for example earlier check in was not a problem :) ]

The only 'minus' was that the man who gave us the keys to the apartment couldn't answer any of my SMS because he didn't have credit on his mobile... so the contact was only one-way and I expected him to help us get to the apartment when we were lost in Berlin. But he welcomed us warmly and gave some information where to go, what to eat etc.

I really recommend renting this apartment. For 4 people it is just perfect: big and bright but cozy. And Anthony is a very good host.

  • Really nice appartment, might not be in the greatest neighborhood of Berlin, but those are easy accessible with public transport or by bike.

Especially the price / quality & service is top notch.

  • Beautiful, clean, modern apartment that is in a good location for most sightseeing spots in Berlin. The apartment was comfortably spacious for our group of 3 and was both well equipped and nicely presented. The owner was easy to deal with and both checkin and out was quick and efficient.

  • We had been traveling for two months when we arrived in Berlin and had stayed in many different Airbnb flats around Europe. Anthony's flat was by far the best one we have stayed in yet. There is so much space, the heating and hot water is fantastic and the flat has everything you need. The location is very close to the S-Bahn so it's also really easy to get everywhere you'd want to go. Anthony is really helpful and answered any questions we had really fast and efficiently. We highly recommend staying here and would definitely come back again!

  • I stayed last weekend with my sister and felt very welcomed and at home in Anthony's place. It's really easy to find coming from Schoenefeld airport. When you climb the stairs look out for Audrey Hepburn and you know you are at the right flat.
Anthony's communication was great. Now not to repeat what every other guest has said which was all true, apartment is lovely and spacious and I love the decor, its very simple, its very relaxing too.
For things to do in the area, the cafe in the square beside the apartment was really friendly and relaxing (barini I think). Take the train from sonnenalle to Treptor park if you want miles of open space and a view of life as the locals live it and not the tourists.
If you want great nightlife go to Kreuzberg where the restaurants are affordable and Mehringhamm if you want a great laugh. We were lucky that friends who knew the area brought us to great pubs and clubs and all in all , its an excellent place to party.
Thanks Anthony, Hasta la vista .
