We were quietly disappointed about our stay here.
First, the apartment is actually located in a very noisy road and the bedroom is on the road side of the apartment.
However, this is very central so you can go to the cute center of Olbia in 5 min by feet.
Secondly, we were welcomed by Alexandra, a friend of the Catelina the host who was really kind but who doesn't speak english nor french. So we didn't have any information about the apartment, the town or the region, contrarily to all of the Airbnb we went by the past...
Thirdly, we had a lot of problem with the facilities providing in the apartment. Actually, the mattress was so awful the first night that Lara, Catelina's daughter had to change it the next day. The second night, we wanted to cook, and there was no gaz and the electric cooker didn't work, so we had to wait Alexandra next morning to change the gaz carboy...
Moreover, we wanted to use the washing machine, but the washing machine was not connected to the water.
As I said, we were disappointed about this apartment, so we refused to pay the 30 € that Catelina ask us to pay for having providing us sheets and towels.
At the end, I think that Catelina, Lara and Alexandra are good persons, but they are not use to host foreigners in their apartment yet.
I'm sure that they will improved the way to receive tourists for the next reservations.

Dear Axel as you said if you book a flat in town there is a big chance of noise, Alessandra is italian and she is supposed to speak english or french as you, travelling to Italy, are supposed to speak italian. If we are not ready to host foreign people then you are not redy to travel without even knowing how to use a washing machine, wich was perfectly connected by the way. Olbia does not have city gas, so it happens that gas bottles have an end, sometimes in the wrong moment. Refusing to pay for bed linen and towels has been very disrespectful for Alessandra who whashes it.
The apartment is beautiful, with a lot of space. The location is perfect, close to the city center and the railway and bus stations. Caterina is very nice.
Caterine, the host, and Alessandra, who helped me settle in, were both superbly helpful and welcoming. The studio matched the description, the picture, and the location (in the historic centre of Olbia). It is on a central street with busy traffic, but that was offset by the superb location and comfort of it. The building itself is very charming and full of character. The bathroom is spacious, beautiful, and full of appealing character. The area where the studio is located is only a few minutes away from the high street in Olbia full of shops, restaurants, cafes. It is also very close to the train station, and literally outside the door of the building, on the right, is the bus stop where buses take you directly to the airport and the beaches. Bus 2 is to the airport (every 30 minutes; about 15 minute bus ride); bus 4, direction "Bardos" takes you to Pittulongu beach (also every 30 min, and about 15-20 minute bus ride), and Bus 5 takes you to the lovely beach of Porto Istana.

Really cosy place, well equipped, Big modern rooms, nice contact. Thanks for a wonderful stay in olbia.
Our stay in Olbia was really pleasant at this apartment. We didn't get to meet Caterina or her daughter Lara, but we did meet her other daughter Claudia who was very nice and was very interesting to speak with, if you're interested in current events in Italy.
The apartment was very clean and well kept, perfect for a couple traveling together. If you stay, just be sure to bring some basics, i.e. toilet paper, some dish soap, etc., as they are not provided in the house.
Best of all, the apartment was very close to the center of Olbia (>5 minutes walk). From the apartment you can easily reach all the restaurants and bars of the historic city center, as well as the harbor. Its a great location if you will be arriving by ferry. It's also only a 30 minute drive from Costa Smeralda and Palau/Isola de Maddelena, so many beautiful areas are easily within reach.
Overall we had a very positive experience!
