  • We had a very nice time in Caroline's mansion in Leixlip. We had a very lovely breakfast every morning with super-delicous jams and one of the best coffees we had experienced so far. Moreover, Leixlip has some attractions itself. The courtyard (a Pub in the centre of the village) has the best meals we experienced during our tour in Ireland. Caroline was at any time very helpful when we had questions about the culture, landscape or Dublin-city. Besides, the mansion is very cozy and absolutely unique! More than worth visiting!

  • I had a lovely evening in Caroline's rather unique house.. I arrived later than expected , only to go out a short while later.. and yet Caroline still lit a fire in the sitting room and made me a cuppa after my long drive .. We ended up chatting for a good while, finding that we knew people and places in common. Caroline was entertaining and interesting and very generous of spirit. Her house is fascinating and has a very special soul.. It was a much more than just a B & B experience! I hope to be back, to continue the conversation!

  • We booked our stay with Caroline for myself, my husband and a friend. In the end I was not able to travel, so another friend took my place; Caroline was very accommodating and this wasn't a problem at all. The three of them had a lovely stay, with a warm friendly welcome in Caroline's beautiful house. She was very patient with our sometimes slow communication (we'd just had a baby and were unusually disorganised!). We'd definitely recommend a stay here.

  • Caroline was absolutely wonderful to stay with! She is incredibly friendly, helpful, and makes a great breakfast! Leixlip was a little bit out of Dublin (about 20 minutes by bus) but after spending the day touring around in Dublin, we really enjoyed hanging out in the local Leixlip bars and pubs! We'd definitely stay here again!

  • Amazing house, so beautiful, and we were really well looked after. I would really recommend this to anyone looking for somewhere a little bit different to stay when in Dublin.

  • Caroline's house is a great example of Georgian private dwellings in Ireland. It was in a secluded quarter of charming Leixlip with its nice shops and good restaurants. She was very accomodating for our needs, and welcomed us with a steaming cup of tea and biscuits. We each had beautifully decorated rooms. Next morning we were taking a ferry from Dublin, and it took only half an hour to get there, so it is convenient, too. Despite our early departure, she provided us with breakfast in a beautiful morning room. Thank you.

  • I so enjoyed my stay at Caroline's wonderfully interesting home. She is warm and welcoming and so very hospitable. Her home is filled with treasures and the most interesting collectibles . In all, an eclectic experience that anyone with a love of antiques and beautiful things would find memorable .
The room I stayed in was comfortable and so cosy. The bathroom en suite has a large bath and as I personally prefer baths to showers ,that was right up my alley, so to speak.
Caroline went out of her way to provide another room for the friend who accompanied me and is herself a warm and engaging person. I wild definitely repeat this experience .

  • Caroline was a wonderful and thoughtful host. She lives in a beautiful area, easily accessible by bus from Dublin -- at about 30-40 minutes outside the city, the location gave us the perfect balance between relaxing getaway and city trip. (Do ask for specific directions to the house though -- I thought I knew where I was going but got a bit lost on the way.) Three of us stayed for two nights, and were delighted with the warm welcome we received, the comfortable beds, the helpful advice on getting around and the tasty breakfasts. I doubt if better value is to be found in the general Dublin area. We look forward to visiting again soon.

  • Enjoyed my stay at Caroline's home so much that I had to stay another four nights! The house is in a prime location, about a five minute walk from downtown Leixlip and all the stores a traveller would need. The area is also very quiet and relaxing. The bus stop to and from Dublin is about a two minute walk from the grounds providing very quick access to Dublin city center. It is also not far to walk to the neighboring towns to sightsee; however, for those who dont like walking there are busses available aswell. Fabulous architecture in the area and Caroline is very knowledgable when it comes to seeing the different sights in the area. Beautiful old Georgian style home, very well kept, and very friendly cat and two nice dogs. Large bedroom with an ensuite bathroom w/enormous bath (being 6feet tall I can usually never lie down in a bath but in this one I could). Shower hose option is there for those who arent fans of having baths. Lovely sitting areas complete with a fireplace for guest use! Breakfast times are very flexible and it was delicious every morning. To add to my wonderful stay Caroline even organized my transport back into Dublin for the morning of my departure; and on top of that recommended me some lovely places to stay and see while I travel western Ireland. I would recommend her B&B over hotels in Dublin any day. Caroline is extremely nice and welcoming; I truely felt like I was at a home away from home. If I have time to stay again before I leave Ireland I most certainly will!
