Description

The Space

Very convienient location within easy commute of Dublin city, short walk to bus stop from house and train nearby. Close to M50 for travel all over Ireland.

Review : " Perfect balance between relaxing getaway and city trip. I doubt if better value is to be found in the general Dublin area." April 2012

Early Georgian, circa 1740. Please note if you are looking for modern and spotless accommodation this is not for you. This is an old house with a lived in feel. Most of our guests like that atmosphere. To stay in a house like this usually costs a lot more than we charge. The price charged reflects the fact that bathrooms are not in the latest most up to date mode. Please dont come and expect more and then complain about it!
What you will get is comfortable accomodation in a friendly, historic, eclectic and unique house.
Two double bedrooms currently as bed and breakfast, one bath ensuite, one with private bathroom (bath) near to the bedroom.
Fully cooked or continental breakfast available.

Guests have exclusive use of TV room with log fire. Wifi available (free). Short walk into village where you will find restaurants, pubs and cafes. Local shop for papers. you are also welcome to walk around the grounds of the house.

Dublin airport is 30 mins away.

The Leixlip Festival takes place every June bank Holiday Weekend Where you'll find lots of live entertainment in pubs, several open-air concerts, and there os also a street carnival.
The theme for the festival is 'The Arrival of the Vikings' .
Leixlip Castle. dates back from 1172, and is one of the oldest continuously-inhabited buildings in Ireland, pre-dating Dublin Castle by 30 years. Definitely worth a visit too!
