In the very center of Tønsberg in one of the old wooden house quarters. No traffic noise, and next to the Haugar park with the Vestfold art museum and two large grave molds from the Viking Age. Two minutes walk from the Farmanstredet shopping center with 110 shops. Two minutes from the town square with markets and sales as well as a variety of surrounding shops, antiquities, fashion etc. Five minutes from the dockside with many restaurants as well as the Saga Oseberg Viking ship. Among other attractions easily accessible are the local museum with emphasis on local history, the Slottsfjellet medieval castle ruins, Nordbyen and Fjærdingen old wooden house quarters, the center for coastal culture, the archipelago with Bolærne islands and the Færder coastal national park.
Very close to public transport, 7 minutes walk from the Tønsberg train station and the buss station. No parking in the streets but payment parking (relatively cheap) 200 meters from the house.
Other things to note
Grocery stores nearby also open late and in weekends.
There is a rebuilding project of two historical houses nearby but this is normally not very notable from the annex.
We expect that you behave like you would at home. We do not allow parties and loud music.
We are a couple around the 60ties who want to share our wonderful place with explorative travellers. He is a professor in design and pationate sailor. She is a social worker and loves flowers.
We love to travel, our favorit being Istanbul, but sad times there restrains us from visiting the magic city.
