Our house is on a quiet dead-end street. The property borders Acadia National Park. The sunny, dry and warm basement room with private entrance and private bath has a terrace with bistro table and amazing sunsets over Cadillac. Five peaceful miles from Bar Harbor. The bed is a California day.

The space
So close to the park you can walk. The causeway, Gorham Mountain, Otter Creek are an easy walk. The Island Explorer (seasonal, on hold till 2022) stops at the end of the street and can take you into Bar Harbor. The space is a walk-down basement, with plenty of room and light. We live upstairs.

We live in Otter Creek, Maine, and love to share our knowledge of this area. Dennis is an avid fisherman, and his family has been here for seven generations. Karen is a web site designer. Our property borders Acadia National Park, and we can hike, bike, swim, or in winter, snow shoe and cross country ski, just outside the door. We are outside whenever possible, and even have an outdoor bedroom. There is plenty of history, too. The outdoors is right here, but so too are excellent restaurants, galleries and museums.
