This is a wonderful home suitable for up to four people (or 5 if you don't mind a couch!) looking to spend the best months of the summer in Dublin. It is fully furnished and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. There are two double bedrooms with a shared bathroom. The Kitchen is stocked with equipment and utilities including a washing machine and dryer. There is WiFi available. We have a great little patio garden and in the good weather there's nothing better than relaxing or cooking up a barbecue out there. It's a non-smoking house but the patio is a grand spot for it.
July and August are two busy months in the city's calendar. While here you might enjoy any of the many festivals taking place, including the arts festival 10 Days in Dublin, Longitude Music Festival, The Street Performers World Championship or The Dublin Horse Show.
In the neighbourhood you can enjoy the Royal Canal and the really beautiful glasshouses at The Botanical Gardens, as well as taking in the Glasnevin Cemetery tour. For anyone interested in a bit of Irish History or genealogy the museum boasts the "Best Small Museum in Europe" award and is one of Trip Advisors top recommendations for anyone visiting. Any Dubliner will tell you that 'The Gravedigger's Pub' is one of the oldest and best in the city, it even gets a mention in James Joyce's 'Ulysses'. If you want to experience authentic Irish ambiance it's a must (and we live right on the square beside it!). On Saturdays there are many farmer's markets around the city and one right next to us (email hidden)-op.
We are located a 30 minute stroll or 20 minute walk from the city centre in a quiet square. There are several buses that will take you to town in 10 minutes or less. A taxi home at night will cost you around $10. For cyclists there is the option of using the 'Dublin Bikes Scheme' while here, the nearest stand with available bikes is located an 8 minute walk from us. We are also in a great position to access the airport ($20 in a taxi) and airport buses ($8). If you are driving we also have a free parking spot outside the house.
This is the perfect residential spot for anyone who wants to stay close enough to the city to enjoy it but not right in the craziness and noise of town.

We were four adults and very comfortable in Maeve's house. It has good natural lighting, nice-sized bedrooms (with good mattresses!), a roomy kitchen and living room. Bathroom is a bit small but perfectly adequate. Good internet connection. We liked the location-- in town but away from the city center. Quiet, peaceful neighborhood. We also liked the nearness to the National Botanic Garden, the cemetery, and of course the Gravedigger's Pub.
Maeve was a very accomodating hostess and worked with us when our travel plans were up in the air due to the Aer Lingus strike. I would recommend Maeve's house to anyone planning a stay in Dublin.
The reservation was canceled 40 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Dublin is a beautiful city and Maeve appartament is nice and near to the centre! Perfect for long or short period of vacation. We actually enjoyed our time in Ireland!!
Maeve is a reliable and communicative Host, she took care of our needs even if it was not present during the stay (she has delegated a reliable person who gave us lots of good tips!).
The apartment is nice, equipped with everything you need and is located outside the busy city center (a bit far to walk, better to use the bus or taxi).
My girlfriend and I stayed at Maeve's place for a month and it couldn't have been more enjoyable. Maeve was easy to get in touch with and full of helpful information. The house was cosy, close to shops and with easy access to the city centre. Would highly recommend Maeve and her place to anyone!
I fully recommend this place for a Dublin visit! We were two individual women staying for 14 days at Maeves charming place. It is a typical two floors Dublin brick house. Maeves descriptions is accurate and correct. The beds were comfortable and the linens fresh and new – as everything else. We found good space for consentrate at ouer individuel works – writhing and photo editing.
We had a wonderful, relaxing and sunny stay at Maeve's. Recommend it for everyone who does not have to stay right in the center. (It's a 30 minute walk or 10 minutes by bus, busstop right besides the house). The area is residential, but a supermarket is round the corner, and the famous Gravedigger's pub is just across the street. You'll also find takeouts and restaurants nearby.
The house is cosy and spacious for a rentout, the two bedrooms (both upstairs) are separate enough to provide privacy, perfect for two couples or a family of 4. Sheets and towels provided. Kitchen is fully equipped, you'll find absolutely everything you need. We saved a lot by cooking at home and eating in the sun nice little patio. Wifi - vital for us - worked wonderfully.
All in all perfect, would book it again any time! Thanks for the great stay and for being great hosts!
