20 extremely private acres bordered by 1000s of acres of Shawnee National Forest, this enchanting home sleeps up to 8 with hand-painted rooms, a cozy fire pit, and a fully stocked kitchen.

Enjoy nearby seasonal waterfalls (Burden, Jackson Falls, and Jackson Hole), Bell Smith Springs, Millstone Bluff, Sand Cave within minutes, hiking trails, climbing, and peaceful nature right out the door.

The space
There are 3 bedrooms, in this custom manufactured home, 2 of which have king size beds and 1 queen. High quality cotton linens and extra blankets located in the cedar chest in the master bedroom. There is also a pull-out sofa in the living room with bedding for it inside the sofa.

The living room has ample seating for 8 people. Circular seating for visiting and planning your next adventure. Not to mention there's a karaoke machine, feel free to sing your heart out indoors and out, no worries about disturbing the neighbors, there are none.

The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed to prepare family meals. There are even pie and cake pans, and muffin pans too! The ice-maker in the freezer works great. The water comes from a 400 foot deep well and is regularly tested for purity and tastes great.

There is a washer and dryer in the home along with laundry soap.

The bathrooms are both well stocked with towels, washcloths, shampoo, shower gel, and soap.

Outside you will find a fire pit (s'mores kit located in the kitchen!) and 20 acres of mixed woods and prairie. There is a small creek and paths throughout. Feel free to explore, but do not cross fences. Only go through open gates. The back gate will take you to the waterfall at Jackson Hole. It's a series of waterfalls with hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails all around, leading to such places as Bay Creek Wilderness Area, Double Branch Hole, The Barrell right across Mustang Lane.

Remember you are in the woods and we keep portions of the property natural for wildlife, stay on paths and dress appropriately while exploring.

Guest access
Feel free to explore all 20 fenced in acres. Please only cross fences at open gates. There are horses adjoining the property.

Other things to note
We have intentionally not put a TV in the Waterfall House. This is to encourage more "Family Time". There are numerous games in the living room chest.
There is fast Wi-Fi for streaming movies and such from your personal devices. We also use 100% cotton Turkish towels. There are fluffy towels in the bathroom cabinets if prefer those. The water for this home is from a 400 foot deep well that is tapped into the aquifer. In order to reduce light pollution as much as possible there are some solar garden lights and porch lights, other than that the moon and stars will light your path.
There is plenty of firewood near the firepit. Help yourself and gather as many sticks as you want. LOTS of sticks in the woods.

Our little family has lived in this beautiful slice of heaven in the heart of the Shawnee for almost 20 years, and we're so grateful to finally share a piece of our peace. I grew up in this region, and spent most of my life running around the woods with a horse and a pack of dogs, chasing waterfalls and hunting for mushrooms. We've worked hard at building our business, West Kentucky Land Survey, and love being involved in community.
