UPDATES: New Pergola, Fire Pit, and Flatscreen TVs!
A true wine country farm experience.
Farmhouse atop hill overlooking vineyards.
Rustic, Scenic, Spacious, Private.
2 Bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms.
Huge living room with fireplace.
30 min to coast.
While other local listings offer tiny cottages, we offer a large house on several acres for similar prices. And we've recently made all new kinds of new upgrades listed below.
Amazing vistas of the valley.
Majestic old growth redwood forest on our property.
We are nestled right between the oldest vineyard in the valley (Husch) and the newest (Angel Camp).
And we are walking distance to the world famous Roederer Estate as well as Lazy Creek, Navarro Vineyards, Phillips Hill, and Champs des Rêves.
We can also arrange on-site activities for you including Seaweed Cooking Demos and Redwood Forest Nature Hikes.
We are a comfy modest farmhouse with some quaint features like a wood burning stove and vintage plate ware. But we also have modern amenities like wireless internet, flat screen TVs, space heaters, washer/dryer, microwave, gas stove, and coffee makers. And we've added new games like Nintendo 64, darts, and tons of board games.
It's a farm not a hotel, so the property is kept pretty wild in its natural state. The grounds are lush and green in winter and spring, and dry and yellow summer and fall. Temperatures swing dramatically year round: chilly nights and warm days are common.
The caretaker lives in a separate house on the property and is available to attend to your needs with enough notice.
Wireless internet in the house.
Cell service good for Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and US Cellular. AT&T is spotty.
Master Bedroom - 2 Queen size beds, 32" Flatscreen TV, cable + DVD player, large closet.
Guest Bedroom - 1 Full size bed, large closet.
Living Room - 1 Queen size pull-out bed, 46" Flatscreen TV, cable + DVD player, game table, video games, and fireplace.
2 Air Mattresses in hallway cabinet.
Plenty to do in the valley: wine tasting, romantic dining, cellar tours, brewery tours, hiking, biking, horseback riding, swimming, fishing (ocean/lakes/streams), kayaking, birdwatching, fruit picking, mushroom foraging, hunting, coastal drives, state parks, or just relaxing.

We had a great time at the Maksim Farm. Everything was just the way Chris described it. When we arrived Chris gave us a tour. He was very easy to reach and even checked in halfway through our stay. The house was large, with a beautiful view—and in a great location near plenty of wineries. I would highly recommend staying here if you are looking to get out of the city with a group of friends!
great location, the backyard is amazing. We enjoyed ourselves this weekend.
Beautiful house in the country with everything you need for a lovely weekend. There's a nice fire pit with a amazing view of the valley, lots of cooking appliances in the house, great wineries just a short drive away.
The property was truly beautiful and very accommodating. Chris was a great host. The yard over looks a vineyard which was stunning, and close to wineries and the brewery.
This was a great place to stay! We traveled for our friends' camping wedding nearby, but being from the east coast we decided not to schlep camping gear and instead booked the farmhouse. Right on point with the description - rustic but comfortable and the groundskeeper was lovely
We had a great stay at Christopher's place! The backyard is great for hanging out and the whole space is roomy. Great for wine tasting in Anderson Valley too.
Our experience was lovely. My friend Matthew and I stayed in Philo. The place was huge and very rustic. We especially loved the fire pit in the (website hidden) lives on the property but we didn't even notice. We ran into him on our last night and invited him for some wine and the three of us sat around the fire, playing games and engaging in conversation that left us lost in time! He even left us with a gift to remember the farm, thank you!!
I am from the Bay Area originally. I run my production company out of LA but spend significant time in both places. Travel is a large part of my life. So is good food and wine.
