About This Listing
MOST BEAUTIFUL, CENTRAL AREA
LATE CHECK IN WITHOUT ADDITIONAL COSTS
BEDLINEN, TOWELS & WLAN INCLUDED
This newly interior designed two room apartment in the heart of trendy Prenzlauer Berg can accommodate up to six people, so it's great for a family, large group or for those people who like having space!
The flat is in a typical Berlin building with wooden floors. It's on the second floor and right next to Berlin's beloved Kastanienallee. The mix of design classics like Egon Eiermann, DDR-Design classics, Interlübke and 70ties design lamps mingles well with the selfbuilt kitchen and the furniture designed especially for us by a group of industrial designers.
The first bedroom is furnished with double bed, two Corbusier-couches and a wardrobe. Since we are lamp-fanatics, you can find here two lamps from the now demolished "Palast der Republik", the headquarter of GDR Parliament.
The second room is furnished with a double bed and two single Interlübke-beds, either to use as a couch or for two more guests to sleep in.
The separate huge kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, plates, glasses and everything else you might need for a dinner. An Espresso-machine from DeLonghi helps you to get started in the morning.
Since the kitchen is at least 28 square meters it serves as a living room as well - here you can hang out in front of the Flatscreen TV or read on the comfy chair.
The bathroom has a bathtub.
Breakfast is not included, but we strongly recommend to just go downstairs to Cafe Entweder-Oder - their breakfast is legendary!
Oderbergerstraße is one of the most beautiful streets in town, very broad, perfect for sitting outside in the summer. Here you find lots of small Cafes and Bars as well as second hand stores and Berlin Designers. The Mauerpark is just at the end of the street, and if you are there for a weekend you should take a stroll over the flea market on sunday!
The UndergroundStation "Eberswalder straße" is five minutes away - from there it is two stops to Alexanderplatz. What few tourists do but what is actually very practical is using the Tram. The numbers 1 and 12 leave around the corner, and with them you can go directly to Hackescher Markt and Friedrichstrasse in Mitte.
The Tram No. 10 takes you to Warschauer Straße, the Border between Friedrichshain & Kreuzberg. There are lots of things to discover in that Area, believe me!
our house is a normal Berlin building with inhabitants that are working and therefore need a good nights rest. Please be quiet at night!
We try to separate our trash (bottles, paper ect.) Please help us do so!
Smoking is forbidden! We are smokers ourselves and know that it is hard to go outside, but we recommend one of the various bars around (schwarzsauer, 103) where you can still smoke inside!
Please see to it that the frontdoor is always closed behind you!
See you in Berlin,
Lulu & Mieke
The apartment was as described and easily found only a 10 min walk from the underground station. The apartment was clean, tidy and spacious and had every facility needed. The street below the apartment was full of wonderful cafes, you could here a quiet buzz from them in the evening with the windows open, but with them closed the street was very peaceful. A great location to stay in, I would thoroughly recommend it.
The location is great, both the street and surrounding areas. Everything worked smooth with the host(s).
Stylish but impersonal apartment.
Dirty flat, hasn’t been thoroughly cleaned for a while.
This is a delightful, bright and airy flat in a very attractive part of Berlin. Oderbergerstrasse is a lively street with plenty of cafés and restaurants but is surprisingly quiet at night, so that we slept very well. The flat is well appointed and easy. There is plentiful hot water at all hours and the shower is excellent. The WiFi signal is strong and coped well with several devices being connected simultaneously. There are excellent transport links - a tram at the end of the road goes straight into Mitte and the U-Bahn a couple of blocks further goes straight to Alexanderplatz (a transport hub) and connects beyond there with the rest of the city. There is a good and reasonably-priced supermarket (ReWe) in the nearby converted brewery building (Kulturbrauerei). Lulu's communications were good and prompt. In short, this was an altogether positive experience and one that we plan to repeat. We highly recommend this flat and our hosts.
Wonderful stay in Berlin. Great hosts, great place. Exceptional location near Mauer Park and plenty of cozy restaurants and bars.
The apartment is on an attractive street. It is how it is described and is spacious, warm and light. Our only problem was with communication. None of our calls or texts while we were there were answered. We could not make the TV and DVD work for the first two days until we turned it upside down and found an on/ off switch. There are books and DVDs at the apartment which is also nice. It is a short walk from two tram stops and there are great cafes on the street.
We were 4 and stayed there for 3 nights over Easter. The apartment was exactly as described/illustrated: big, cosy, clean and more importantly: very well located, which was ideal for us! we enjoyed staying there.
Between restaurants, bars and a great address for breakfast located right below the appartment: great location!
Thanks for everything

About the Host, Lulu & Mieke
Me (dark hair) and my friend Mieke (blond hair) have been friends for ages. We both love traveling - we hitch-hiked the pan american highway from Canada to Brasil when we were 20 (our mothers hated it!) - and we want to offer our guests a "home away from home" how we would like it.
Both of us think that not only the sight-seeing highlights like Brandenburg gate are interesting, but also the normal districts, the houses and streets are of major importance for getting an insight view of the city. This is the advantage of a vacation rental.
We hope that all our guests are happy with their stay and are always happy to help - except too late at night of course : )
See you in Berlin,
Lulu & Mieke
