This master bedroom is located on the second floor of a two-story home. It has its own full bathroom, and walk-in closet featuring a mini kitchenette . This kitchenette includes a mini-refridgerator, electric tea kettle and microwave (you also have access to the regular kitchen downstairs). The room comes with a couch, table, and a 40" Smart TV with a web browser (internet access, Netflix, etc. rather than cable television). There is an HDMI cable included with the room so you can hook up your computer to the TV to enjoy a large screen as a monitor if you'd like. This is a clean, light space with a beachy and peaceful atmosphere.
This room is located in a clean, sunny, happy 3 bedroom home located in Midtown Santa Cruz with a 5 minute drive to the beach, the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, and Downtown where you'll find all the fun and funky shops and restaurants. We live on an ungated yet private drive with nine other homes called Brooke Hill Homes. We are a ~10 minute walk from public transit. We have easy access to Hwy 1 and Hwy 17, so we are also an excellent spot if you plan on getting out on day trips to Big Basin Redwood State Park, Pescadero, Half Moon Bay, Monterey, Carmel, Big Sur...!
Guests can enjoy the privacy of their clean, cozy self-sufficient room, and they also have access to the rest of the house as well as the little patio and firepit in the backyard. The laundry area is conveniently located next to the room as well. This is a very environmentally-conscious home with eco-flooring, paint and appliances. There are two women--the archivist librarian for UCSC and a massage therapist--who live here (Annie and myself). We also have a small kitty named Cree--cutest ever! We keep the master bedroom door closed though, just in case guests have allergies.
We are a peaceful, light-hearted and welcoming household looking forward to meeting you!

I stayed in Tiffany's home for a month. I was moving to the area from the East Coast and needed a short term place to stay while I looked for long term housing. I felt very welcome in Tiffany's home. My bedroom and bathroom were both very spacious, even enough space to workout. The mini kitchenette was great for late night tea but I also used the main kitchen for cooking meals. The home is close to the River Walk and a short walk to downtown Santa Cruz. Her Kitty was very sweet and made me feel right at home!
Staying at Tiffany's was so great that I didn't think twice to stay a week longer than planned. For more details please read my other review, but long story short, everything was great.
From the first moment I got a message from Tiffany I got the feeling that she was great. She's the kind of person who cares about other people and she always does her best to make sure you have a great time at her place. Tiffany was more than an airbnb host to me, and now I consider her a good friend.
The place was just as in the pictures, except from a few changes Tiffany's been making, but it looks great, clean and cosy. The room has it's own closet/kitchenette with a small fridge, a microwave and some other essentials that will let you make a sandwich or get bowl of cereal without leaving the room. But if you want to cook something, the kitchen has all the basics and Tiffany will also give you access to a ton of spices and stuff.
Both Tiffany and her roommate were really kind, we went out a couple of times to grab a bite and/or have a beer. Tiffany let me borrow her bike, which was great to move around in Santa Cruz. She also picked me up at San Jose airport the day I arrived, so everything went great from the beginning. The place is a 20-30 minutes walk from downtown but there’s a bus that will take you there in 5 minutes. Also if you use a bike, Tiffany’s place is only 5-10 minutes away from downtown and biking in Santa Cruz is pretty safe. Also the neighborhood is pretty safe, I even walked home once from downtown around 1 am without an issue.
I totally recommend to stay at her place (I’d do it again, and I did for another week).

My wife and I stayed at Tiffany's for our 10 year wedding anniversary and absolutely loved the place. The room itself was very comfortable and quiet and the location was perfect for us. We also enjoyed relaxing at night while watching movies in bed! Tiffany was a great host ,very welcoming and helpful with suggestions with activities and destinations in Santa Cruz, as well as just seeming like a great person all around. The house is very comfortable, and although we didn't take advantage of it, the backyard would have been a great spot to enjoy some wine in the evening. We will definitely be contacting her again for our next trip here.
The bedroom is cute, beachy and inviting. Tiffany was a very attentive host, and enjoys interacting with her guests.
I've lived in this peaceful Santa Cruz home for 17 years. I'm a 2001 graduate of Environmental Studies from University of California at Santa Cruz, and I have been a Massage Therapist for 15 years. The name of my practice is Whole Body Peace Therapeutic Massage.
Some favorites of mine are tinkering around on the guitar, running with puppy dawgs on the beach, riding my bike along the coast or having a cozy beach bonfire, morning or night. Coastal Redwood hikes, day-trips, enjoying great live local music, twirling through Salsa and Swing classes, Mmmm-ing over ridiculously creative rolls at Mobo Sushi and then maybe catching an Independent film at one of our great movie houses downtown. Relaxing, rejuvenating Yoga classes at Divinitree or The Pacific Cultural Center are another new love of mine too!
There's really just so many great things to do in this area: Free outdoor movies, Free Summer Concerts at the Boardwalk, Free Sailing at the Harbor...the list goes on and on...that there's never want of a good time if you're available!
As a host, I am happy to treat my guests to information as to what's going on the area that your average visitor resources don't list--the things locals enjoy! Perhaps even show them around if they would like. I want people to feel that they are in the perfect home-away-from-home atmosphere, with all of their creature comforts met: fluffy towels, soft sheets, and a bright, clean, relaxing place to just be.
Singles and couples of all ages and all places are more than welcome... My motto: If it's fun, do more of THAT--Why not? =)
