Beautiful house recently renewed that offers a great view and a silent and quiet staying in Rome.

The Space

One double bedroom and a big dining&kitchen room, one beautiful bathroom and a very big terrace to take sunbath. Near to La Sapienza University, 10 minutes by bus to Piazza Bologna Metro Station (Line B), 15 minutes walk from Stazione Tiburtina (line B), 25 minutes by bus from Piazza Venezia (bus line 62), Piazza del Popolo, Villa Borghese and Colosseum. Nice and quiet, fully equipped perfect for 2 persons good for 3 (one sofa bed in the dining&kitchen room). The lovely terrace, the beautiful bathroom, the washing machine, the kitchen fully equipped with microvawe and refrigerator, make you sure everything is ready to stay in an elegant building with only other 3 apts in a fine Rome district with food shops and bar, quiet and easy to reach from the main points in the City. You will have your privacy and relax and enjoy your staying in Rome with silence and nature all around. A great and green park just downstairs to make jogging. You won't need a car because of the bus line number 445 that leads to Piazza Bologna and Underground line B in 15 minutes starting from 6 oclock' in the morning until 11pm in the evening. Arriving by car you will be able to park without cost all around the building and easily find the way to City Centre or Italian Autoroutes A1 to go North and South.

Guest Access

Guest will have access to the apartment with their own keys, kitchen and terrace.

Interaction with Guests

I don't live near the house but I will be ready to assist if needed by phone or by email and if necessary in person.

The Neighborhood

The neighborhood is quiet and residential. You will find some shops for food and beverage just 5 minutes walk from my house.

Getting around

Public transit is necessary to go to Piazza Bologna and to Underground Line B and you will find the line 445 from 6am until 11pm every day every 15minutes, but if you love walking you can be in Stazione Tiburtina in about 25minutes by foot.

  • We rented this apartment in december. Apartment is pretty big and airy. It looks better than its photoes. It has enormous terrace with a very nice view and huge bathroom. We were very pleased to find some food in frige when we arrived.
The main problem for us was low temperature. The flat accomodated with heating system, but it was working only in mornings and evenings. For us comfortable temperature is 23 degrees, so we were completely frozen, and all of us caught a cold.
To my mind, it is better to rent this flat having a car. It is true that a bus stop is situated nearby, but there is only one bus that goes to the metro and sometimes it goes very seldom especially during holidays and weekends.
Finally, we was attacted by ants that was very surprisingly in december. They were very small and prefer to live in the bathroom, but sometimes they also visited kitchen.
So, this apartment will be good enough for those who have a car during summertime.

    Response from Illy:

Hallo Angelina. As already said to you the heating system is regulated by the building administration and in Rome there are several laws fixed by the Major about how many hours and which temperature the system must run. Rome is not Saint Petersburg concerning winter's temperature so I can't really understand how did you catch a cold in there (about 18^ deegrees in Rome in december!) and I think you should reconsider the word "frozen" talking about a second floor flat reached by the Sun starting from 10 AM until 5 PM. Regarding ants - as already told you - I would have avoid to eat all around in the house or leave the dishes on the table after eating. Never had ants in my house...and I live there since a long time. Thanks for your review.

  • The apartment was really nice, clean and airy and more spacious than it appears in the pictures. The host was friendly and helpful with directions from the airport, and left us some groceries to help us start the holiday off. The apartment was in a really good location for sightseeing, not too far from the center of Rome, there was a bus stop very nearby that took you to Bologna, and from there you can get the metro very easily to anywhere in Rome. The bus comes about every 20 minutes, we never had to wait overly long. You can get a travelcard from the metro stations that covers the metro and the buses.

We had a really nice stay at Illy's apartment and would definitely consider coming back again.
The only minor criticism was that the mattress was actually 2 single mattresses stuck together and one half was rather hard, but this was no problem really, considering the price and good location.

Restaurant recommendation: There was a really nice restaurant that we noticed on the 445 bus route back to the apartment. It was always packed in the evenings with people waiting outside so we decided to try it out one night. If you went before 9 it was an all you can eat buffet of pizza and pasta and salads etc with a drink of your choice including a large range of cocktails, all for 10 euros! We went about at about 19:00 and didnt have to queue, probably the best restaurant we found during our stay, and really nice cocktails.

Dog trainer
Hi, I'm from Lecce, but I live in Milan and sometimes in Rome. I'm a dog trainer and I need to travel often. So I rent my flat when I'm not in Milan or in Rome to let someone else live and appreciate The Eternal City (Rome) and the Navigli Area in the old Milano, where's my building fashion styled. I bought the flat in Milan some years ago and it is very small but lovely because it is due to my only efforts and to my hard work. I hope you will enjoy it! In Rome you will find another beautiful house bigger than the one in Milan and located in a very good and elegant area. You will have some food in Rome to eat when arrived in the house because my mother always take care of it and of my guests.
