  • Julie is a fantastic host, very communicative, mindful and accommodating. Her place is in a great neighborhood. The separate entrance is nice bonus!

  • Julie was very considerate and accommodating. The space is tidy and located in a beautiful neighborhood. It is an easy 15 min walk from the California Ave Caltrain station.

  • A nice, large room, in a quiet area. The bed is very comfortable, and I slept well. Wifi worked fine. Having the private entrance is great. The bathroom is clean. All in all, it is exactly what I wanted.

Julie is a friendly and helpful hostess, but does not intrude.

I would stay again, if I come back to Palo Alto.

  • Julie's private space with lots of room worked beautifully for us. Julie is a gracious host, who makes you feel instantly comfortable. We highly recommend this AIRbnb opportunity.

  • Very lovely. This was my first AirBNB experience and I recommend it. I was in Palo Alto for business and although the room is not really set up for a business traveler (wifi didn't work...but I had my own hot spot which worked great, and there is not a "desk")...for me this was a delightful alternative to very expensive or yukky inexpensive hotels! The host loaned me a hair dryer and was VERY accommodating. No TV for morning news and no coffee pot for getting-dressed coffee...but really, I will stay here again. I recommend this as a terrific place to stay in Palo Alto!

  • Julie was a great, easygoing host. She made it simple for me to get in and out, no issues at all. I wasn't at the room much since I stayed there for a quick work trip, but when I was it was comfortable, quiet, private, and had all of the amenities I needed! I recommend it!

  • Julie was a great host; She made us feel at home and well cared for. The room was lovely and clean and we loved having the private entrance, forgot we were in a home and felt like we were just in our own retreat. Very good price for the experience!

  • My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this lovely quiet neighborhood in easy walking distance of Hoover Park, two drug stores, a Starbucks, a grocery store, and six different places to eat. The room itself was large and comfortable, and though the hostess was very friendly and helpful we appreciated the convenience of the private entrance.

  • Julie's Private Room was TERRIFIC!

With a separate entrance off the back patio, this is a perfect alternative to a hotel for a medium stay in Palo Alto. Julie's house is minutes from Stanford and I was able to drive in less than 5 minutes to campus. If you wanted to stay for longer, there is room for a bike on the patio and it is super-doable as a quick ride to Stanford! Julie was easy and gracious. The room is light and clean, with it's own bathroom and WAY AMPLE shelving if you're sticking around for longer than a day or two.

Julie seems to have set up the room for privacy, hers and yours. She is attentive, but has her own life in the attached house. This is the addition to the house. You don't share the house with Julie, but have your own space with a fridge and microwave- similar to a hotel room, but cozier!

I would stay again in a heartbeat if the room is open.

    Don E.
