This old ranch house is nestled in an Avocado Orchard in a small town outside of Santa Barbara, Ca. Although you have the feel of being far from the craziness of life this peaceful setting is five minutes from downtown Carpinteria and the beaches. Bikes are available to cruise into town on a thursday for farmers market, or take the beach chairs to the beach for the day or to watch the sunset. We welcome our guests with wine and refreshments. Fresh eggs from our chickens, Nellie and Ralphina. We have a ping pong table and dart board to unwind at the end of a long day. Enjoy a campfire and sleep under the stars in a hammock if your heart so desires. Information available for local restaurants, festivals and activities .....Come, relax and enjoy a time away at The RUSTIC AVOCADO RANCH.

The host had a bottle of wine on the table with a note when we arrived. There was also a note on sundries in the bathroom telling us to help ourselves if we forgot something. When our paths crossed we had some great conversations. Very special people. The home was as listed.

The rustic avocado ranch is a completely unique experience, being from the UK we'd never stayed anywhere like it and you could really feel the history of the place at the same time as it obviously being a family home. Lee was a fantastic host, leaving lots of food for us and even wine, and even though she wasn't actually there for most of our stay she answered all our questions quickly and when she popped in she gave us a warm welcome and made us feel at home. The ranch is more than just a place to stay, it feels like you're being welcomed into part of a family.

Hospitality has now been defined in three letters ...Lee! From the secluded setting, the relaxed setting, the comfortable bed, coffee cake and fresh eggs in the morning, this place made our anniversary unforgettable.

What a wonderful little piece of heaven! So many beautiful details, everything in that house is so warm and inviting. I loved all the antiques! The fire pit and overhead lights brought the perfect outdoor ambiance that we were looking forward two, for awhile it felt like we were the only ones around. Her son Anthony was very welcoming and soft spoken, very helpful too! Hopefully next time we will get to meet Lee, I could only imagine how wonderful she must be. We will be seeing you again!!!

Lee and Anthony were incredible hosts! We arrived at their beautiful home to find our names on the door, bottles of wine waiting for us, and chocolate with a personalized note celebrating my wife and my anniversary. I couldn't have felt more welcome and excited for the weekend. The house is just as described and is beautiful. It's a real escape to peace and tranquility. The eggs for breakfast were fresh and delicious. Anthony collected wood for us to make a fire. Just hospitality at it's finest. Thanks so much! Hopefully we will be back soon!

Often you will find me outside working on a project for the next flea market, weeding/watering or making succulent gardens. Next I'm taking pictures of the statues in my garden for cards that I will send my family and friends. Yes, I'm active, usually starting my day with a 4-5 mile walk with a good friend...I do have my much needed quiet time. The times I embrace the most are when I am with my children, family and friends. We have many gatherings in the backyard to celebrate whatever we can make up a reason to get together for a meal and a good time. This is one of the reasons I wanted to share my home with airbnb guests, to help make your time away from home enjoyable and a time to remember.
