  • Beautiful house, beautiful yard, great neighborhood. Highly reccomended!

  • Great little apartment, in a really good location. Just a few minutes walk from the streetcar and across the street from a bus-stop that takes you to the subway (and hence the airport). Nicely specced out, all things considered, and had all the comforts of home.
I never actually met Helena, but she was in constant contact via email with neighbourhood tips.

I'm slightly reluctant to leave such a glowing review as I want to be able to book it again when I go back to Toronto!

  • My husband and I had a very good experience at Helena's home. She was very easy to contact and got back to us quickly. The space is the first floor of a triplex. It was not fancy but had everything we needed (especially a very good bed) for a comfortable stay. The location is ideal for Little Portugal or Little Italy. It is right on a bus route to the subway system. I think it was great value.

  • We were given a recommendation to stay in the Little Portugal area from a local friend as it is very close to all types of shops, restaurants and night life. That was absolutely correct. There were too many places to count within walking distance (high end and other). We were able to eat at some awesome restaurants (Bar Isabel, Bestellen, Libretto Pizza, Federal, Grand Electric, Bellwoods Brewery to name a few).

Helena was an excellent host. She was there to meet us when we checked in (she worked around our arrival). She was super responsive to any questions we had. The property was great. The bed was comfy and the space was comfortable. Our only note would be about the bedroom. Please understand this is purely a personal preference not a knock on the property. We love our bedroom to be a little darker. There was street noise but it wasn't a bother.

Awesome experience with the property and with Helena. Would highly recommend this property.

  • Very nice and courteous. Everything was perfect. Location was great, parking was easy for the weekend. Would definitely come back.

  • Helena was the best! She spolied me with portuguese treats and tea/hot chocolate/coookies/mango. The place is in a perfect central location, I walked everywhere! Thanks Helena!! x

  • The apartment and Helena were both fantastic. The place was clean, comfortable and in a great area - on Ossington between Dundas and College. Helena couldn't be nicer and would frequently leave things outside our door like a selection of flavoured teas or sweets from the Portuguese bakery. We didn't actually get to meet in person but I hope to stay there again so maybe next time.

  • We stayed in this apartment for 4 nights while visiting our son in Toronto. The location was great, within walking distance of both College and Dundas. The Ossington bus stops are virtually right at your door which was very convenient for taking you to Ossington Station on the subway line. The apartment was nice and relatively clean and Helena was a very friendly and lovely host. The only possible drawback is that the bedroom is right on Ossington which is a fairly busy street. So if you are a very light sleeper this may bother you. The apartment also has hot air heat, which was very warm and very dry, so if you have sinus problems this may affect you as well.
