Other Things to Note
See below in house rules - No smoking on the property whatsoever, sort garbage, compost and recycle, and please respect the neighbors and neighborhood. Walking distance grocery stores - Trader Joes at 46th and 8th Ave NE (about 6 blocks) and QFC grocery store about 8 blocks (45th and to the West at Wallingford). Very large organic and natural foods in upstairs area of market. At 65th and 12th NE is Whole Foods and at 70th and 5th ave NE is PCC- Puget Consumers Co-op (also like Whole Foods), Safeway at 70th and Roosevelt (and these are about 1 mile away. ) Don't go to Safeway in U district on 12th and 43rd - bad element there.
No smoking on the property whatsoever. Please don't smoke on the neighbor's property either. Pet free home. While I have the kitchen cleaned between guests, a kitchen full of dirty dishes/spills/etc will incur an extra cleaning fee based on what I pay my cleaners. I have only had to charge an extra fee once. We have a very robust recycling program in Seattle, the instructions are in the house, and separating of recyclables, trash and food waste/compost. Please understand that kitchen, while well stocked, is not set up for catering weddings. Dishes/pots and pans are appropriate for a group of 6 to 10. For those in town hosting weddings, extra charges may apply based on extra costs incurred due to cleaning and garbage disposal fees. Please take care when you park to make sure you do not block the sidewalk (usually if at least 1/2 of it is accessible, this is enough). One guest blocked the sidewalk and got a parking ticket. Sorting garbage, food waste/compost and recycling is mandatory and required by city law - or a ticket could be issued for recyclable or yard waste (including food waste and pizza boxes) are found in the garbage. There is a poster explaining this in the house. Please be respectful of the neighbors and realize this listing is in a neighborhood with families with small children. No amplified music outside after 10 pm.
