About this listing
This gorgeous apartment in the heart of the Marina, steps from the main street (Chestnut) and walking distance to the beach!
Apartment is hotel clean. It is amazing. It is featured in the August 2015 issue of Better Homes & Gardens magazine.
Welcome to my Marina apartment! This studio apartment has been turned into a jr. one bedroom, as the bed is cleverly relocated in a huge walk in closet to make for an amazing main living room and private bedroom. The building was built in the early 1900's and has quaint turn-of-the-century architectural details, such as original hardwood floors and high ceilings. The tenants are quiet and keep to themselves. The apartment is hotel clean.
This area of the city is VERY safe and is an easy walk to the Golden Gate Bridge, Chrissy Field, The Palace of Fine Arts and dozens of fabulous (world class) restaurants, bars and shopping. There is a Walgreens Pharmacy across the street as well as two movie theaters on Chestnut Street. (apartment is on Divisadero Street @ Chestnut Street) The demographic is 24-45 but there are people of all ages here.
The living room is bright and clean. The sofa and chairs are all custom, designed by Kelly Keiser. There is a small tv, hulu, apple tv, netflix and cable as well as wireless. The library wall is filled with beautiful interior design books, all of which you are welcome to comb thru while staying at the apartment. There is a desk with a monitor, which you are welcome to plug into. The Apple store is just down the street two blocks if you need any apple items during your stay.
Cleverly located in a huge walk in closet, there is plenty of room to relax in this room. Soft and luxurious bedding makes for a good nights sleep. This apartment is VERY QUIET, as it is on the back side of the building. The bedroom doors shut to close this room off completely from the rest of the house and making the bedroom very nest like. Fresh (new) bedding and pillows are atop a Temperpedic mattress and I have added a feather down pillow top on top of the Temperpedic, making this bed extra cozy.
The full kitchen features a table and two chairs for dining and a refrigerator for you to store your food items. The Marina Supermarket is on the same block as the apartment so some people like to grab breakfast items for their stay. There is a french coffee press as well as a Brita water filtration system.
The bathroom is original with deco tile in the shower. The tub is also original (cast iron) so I have added a floor to ceiling shower curtain to keep the bathroom looking up-to-date. The bathroom is stocked with extra tp and ceramic jars with items like cotton balls and q-tips. Fluffy white towels are also provided.
The bus stop is across the street from the apartment and there is a ZipCar lot just next door to the building.

Interaction with Guests
As much as it takes to ensure a great stay!
There is no better neighborhood than the Marina. It is flat, it has the Golden Gate Bridge, it is safe for girls (but this is the city, so be smart), it has great bars and restaurants. It is just THE BEST!
The bus stop is across the street from the apartment, uber and flywheel apps will help you navigate the city, bike rentals are located on lombard street and the zipcar lot is next to the gas station 100 feet from my apartment.
No Smoking please. This apartment is for MATURE guests only. It is most suitable for people looking for a quiet, relaxing stay, it is not a party pad.
Please remember, this is my home, please treat it with respect and have a fabulous stay!
San Francisco Interior Designer
I own an interior design business in San Francisco's Marina District. I am a professional and most of my trips are for business. I am tidy and quiet, love to go out to eat, shop and scour the planet for design inspiration. I love this city and hope you will come, stay and love it as well!
