This is a small, quiet room with everything you need in an amazing first floor apartment in the Mile End area at Jeanne Mance and Fairmount.
There is a double bed, dresser, desk, and large window looking into a quiet courtyard. It gets ambient light all day, but not direct sunlight. The room has very high ceilings and a ceiling fan.
- washer/dryer in the apartment
- fast Wifi internet
- really large living room with records and kitchen fully equipped
- large front garden
- beautiful apartment, incredible location - best neighbourhood, and super central too, just down the street from St Viateur cafes and bagels, The PA Supermarket is around the corner, the 80 and 55 buses pass right nearby, the mountain is five minutes away. Downtown is 10-15 minutes away.
We are two mature, respectful, and quiet roommates (female, 27 from France, male anglo Canadian, 31). We speak English and French. Noelie teaches English and James is a musician and writer. We'll totally help you find what's happening in Montreal, show you around, whatever you need.
We are very chill and welcoming to different types of people. The house is generally quiet after 11pm, with some exceptions on the weekend. We're not anal about it. James works from home during many days so basic quiet is encouraged during the day, but again we're relaxed about this stuff.
Staying with James and Noellie was great, the neighbourhood is the best and has everything you need within a 2 minute walk, a very chill place to stay. They were very knowledgable about aubergines.
Beautiful home, comfortable bed, gracious host, and conveniently located to explore MTL.
James was very friendly and accommodating, a great host. The apartment is charming and well located.
A great room for two people in a wonderful neighborhood. James is a nice guy, very accommodating and quick to reply to any messages.
The room was tidy and the apartment was adorable! Laurier is a lovely street, and we appreciated the quiet of James' place.
James was great giving us instructions and was easy to contact when needed! His place is perfectly situated!! Will definitely go back :)

I have lived in Montreal for ten years. I'm a musician and writer, working daily on writing songs and also on editing a book of poems and one of stories. I work part time via internet and do a lot of writing at a few nearby coffee shops each day.
Besides that I have beers on stoops and patios with close friends, see a lot of music and read a fair bit. I've traveled to Asia, Europe, Israel and around North America and these days if I'm traveling I prefer to stay in one place and get into a routine than boot around looking at stuff.
I love coffee, beer, wine, fish, steak, chicken, cheese, spinach...lots of foods. I'm a quiet, amenable kind of host...like I know Montreal well and can direct guests to tourist events, sights but can better direct folks to great areas to soak in surroundings, have coffee, watch people, as that's what I like to do.
