Private room 5 miles from the beach

Apartment - Private room · Riverland Woods Place, Charleston, Charleston, SC 29412, United States

The Space

I have nice room with a comfortable king size bed and private bath across the hall. The room has it's own screened in porch with a view of a pond and the swimming pool. I am 5 miles from Folly Beach and 7 miles from downtown Charleston in a secluded Luxury Condo Complex.

My condo is a quiet place where my partner Rick and I live with our cat, a Beagle and a Lhasa Apso mix. My cat Gus is an older cat (12 years) that does not go into the quest bedroom at all and is very friendly. He will rub on you and showcase that true southern politeness. Cleatus my beagle is also very friendly and will become your pal during your stay and Angel you will just adore. But all the animals will leave you alone once you are welcomed in to our home.

You will have access to the entire Condo including the kitchen and refrigerator if needed. Wifi is also available and cable is available in the living room. You also have a TV and DVD player in your room with limited local channel access.

I work from home and will be around during the day but most likely in my room in the evenings. I can be as interactive as my guest would like me to be in that I can show the guests Charleston or can provide suggestions and directions as needed.

Check In
  • Rick is the perfect host and we're really glad we had the opportunity to meet him and spent a night in his cosy appartment. As preparing our trip, Rick was very communicating and helpful and also very flexible with our check-in time. He knows much about the history of Charleston and gave us some great recommondations where to eat. We enjoyed it very much to have a conversation with him while drinking some good coffee he made us. His home is cosy, very clean, with alle amenitys you need and we liked his pets a lot. If you wanna meet a really nice, welcoming and interesting person, you have to visit Rick!

  • Rick's place was really nice - definitely one of the nicest places we have stayed so far! We had our own room with patio and bathroom plus we had access to the rest of the apartment including the dining room, living room, kitchen, and the community pool. Everything was clean and comfy. The Internet connection was fast. There was plenty of free parking in front of the condo. The location wasn't bad either - about 15 drive to the downtown and 10 min to Folly Beach. There is a Food Lion grocery store around the corner. Rick was very cool and fun host to hang out with! He's very knowledgeable and can tell you all about Charleston's history. His cat and dog were super cute and didn't bother us at all. Highly recommended!

  • Rick was a great host! His place was beautiful and the room was very comfortable. He made us feel right at home after a long few days of traveling. Will definitely come back again!

  • What surprised me most was the area (a gaited community, beautiful grounds, plenty of security, within easy access of beaches and the city, a private bath and clean, spacious room with porch overlooking small pond). What delighted me the most was Rick's manner (available if you wanted something, but very discrete, relaxed, hospitable). If you ask, Rick's interest in history has prepared him to be an interesting resource for the history of Charleston. Even Gus, his cat, was friendly but gave you your space if you wanted it.
I certainly enjoyed my stay there much more than I would have if I had gone to a hotel.
