About this listing
You will have your privacy in this adorable vintage trailer set behind our 1920s bungalow. The trailer has its own outdoor shower.
The bungalow has a picknick space and deck with a beautiful view of the hills of Highland Park,Los Angeles.
This hip neighborhood is very walkable with everything you might want just 2 blocks away.
Our 2 bedroom bungalow sits on a hill side in the lively neighborhood of Highland Park.
It is the back house behind and above our front property which has long term tenants. There is a back alley gate for additional direct access to the back house and the trailer.
The vintage trailer has it's own small kitchen with water and is currently only set up to make coffee or tea in. You are welcome to share the kitchen in the bungalow as well.
Who lives in the house:
My husband Gabe and I and our 4 month old which luckily sleeps through the night. Our bedroom is off the deck which we use as our private space while we share the rest of the house. We both work from home.
There also is our room mate Will who works most of the days.
We have two cats, Pepper and Buddy. They are indoor/outdoor and get fed by an automatic feeder.
While this is an urban setting in a very central Los Angeles location our place is a great place to relax.
We recently build an outdoor bath with bathtub and shower for the trailer.
The Toilet is in the bungalow.
The trailer is a small but cozy space with a full size bed. The mattress is 6'7" long and 54" wide
You will have the trailer to yourself and have shared access to the kitchen, bathroom and living room in the bungalow.
There is a washing machine but no dryer. (We air dry our clothes outside.)
You can also enjoy the outdoor patio with a large shade tree over a pick-nick table. The whole space has wifi.
Highland Park is THE up and coming neighborhood in Los Angeles. We are just two blocks from super trendy York Blvd which has exploded with interesting stores, cafes and eateries over the past 3 years. You can walk to a supermarket and all kinds of restaurants in just minutes!
York Blvd also has an eclectic mix of music and vintage stores. The metro station is a 20 minute walk away and connects you to downtown, Hollywood or Old town Pasadena.
Highland Park Gold line Metro Station is a 15-20 min. walk away
Other things to note
We have 2 indoor/outdoor cats and our roommate Will has a small older dog which is very quiet and friendly. He's more like a cat actually.
Our bungalow sits on a hillside behind the front house of our property which is tenant occupied.
No smoking inside the house and trailer but in the backyard is okay.
We are a couple originally from Berlin Germany and South Dakota USA.
We live between Los Angeles and Berlin and sublet our space depending on where we are at during the year.
Our style could be called eclectic, DIY with a love for vintage americana.
