About This Listing
Charming 6th-floor view over the rooftops of New Haven in elevator building right downtown. The most convenient location for everything Yale-related.
Now with AIR CONDITIONER!
Since I recently moved into this charming and spacious one-bedroom apartment, it's truly clutter free and there's a lot of bright open space. There's a large dining table and chairs (not yet pictured), and you should find everything else you need. There are: a comfy couch, and a pair of arm chairs, a kitchen equipped with the basics, a luxurious queen-sized bed, and clean, white linens and towels. WIFI.
The four large windows are west facing, which makes for great light all day, especially lovely evening light (as pictured) and a view of the sunset over the quaint old rooftops of New Haven.
Located on the same block as Yale Caberet, Architecture, Drama. One block from the Yale Art Museum and across the street from the student gallery and art studios. A cafe just downstairs with excellent coffee and lots of bars, restaurants, cafes in the immediate area. Park and Chapel: the most convenient corner in New Haven!
One block from a stop on the free Yale shuttle, which brings you from the train station and takes you back. The station is also just a ten-minute (under $10) taxi ride away.
Free street parking half a block away on Edgewood Ave (availability not guaranteed), and two very near-by parking garages, on York just south of Chapel, and on Elm between Chapel and Park.
No smoking in the apt please. There is a spacious fire escape down the hall with an equally good view.
We stayed here while attending our son's graduation from Yale. The location couldn't have been more perfect - right around the corner from Pierson residential college, where our son lives. The apartment was comfortable and spacious. I would recommend it for any Yale parent visiting their son or daughter.
I came into New Haven. Julia was easily available and a lovely host. The apartment was great: location, appearance, functionality.
Julia was a superb host. Picking up the keys ( as I was arriving late) was very painless and easy. The apartment was spotless, warm and very tidy, with plenty of room to spread my kit (website hidden) is a very charming apartment. All the facilities work well and my experience there was entirely positive. The location could not be more convenient for those visiting Yale.
Great! room condition was good to stay for 10 days. Location, bed, view were good. However somewhat cold to me every night and morning. It would be better to prepare heater.
Anyway thanks Julia
This urban apartment is ideal for a visit to New Haven; the central location is excellent--walking distance to all things Yale but also wonderfully close to great restaurants, coffee, and museums. The space makes for a bright and comfortable pied a terre. Julia goes out of her way to make the stay a success. Would love to return!
