About the Neighborhood:
We're located on a street two houses off Magnolia Avenue. Just steps from eclectic eateries and one-of-a-kind bars. A few favorites include: Spiral Diner (Vegan Restaurant); Ellerbe’s Fine Foods (Excellent Farm-to-table meals), The 'Usual' (place to try 'classic cocktails' in an upscale environment,) Zio Carlos (our newest Gastro pub brewing some of FW finest and serving some amazing pizza. BREWED (referred to as 'The Locals living room') serves up great coffee, amazing beers on tap from all over the world and excellent food. Lilly's Bistro, Sunjiko Station Sushi, Hot Damn Tamale, the list goes on and on for fun things to do on Magnolia and it’s all walking distance from the house. We're very excited that Cane Rosso pizzeria (authentic Naples style pizza) is opening in November '13! Rahr Brewery is only a 1/2 mile from the house. If you're here on a Saturday afternoon or Wed evening, pay $10 for a glass and get four pints of beer-you'll most likely see a Sports game on the big screen (email hidden) band playing. Check out the live music line up at the Live Oak Lounge and have a drink on the rooftop before the show.
'Share a Bike' is Fort Worth’s newest bike program. Located along the street you can swipe your CC, pick up a bike and return it to one of the many bike stations located within the city. Near South Side is situated just two and a half miles from downtown Sundance Square and three miles from West 7th Street.

You can tell from the reviews that the house gets great remarks but people often leave out the backyard. It is really nicely landscaped with lots of cactus, agaves, hanging lights with a seating area. It make for a great place to relax with a glass of wine when weather permits.

The house is great, good location and nicely decorated. Andy has been very helpful before our arrival and during the stay.
Andy's place was great! Perfectly clean and more spacious than it appears in the photos. Comfortable for six adults. The location is perfect for walking to dinner on Magnolia Avenue. Andy provided a notebook with restaurant menus which helped us decide where to eat, and a bottle of wine for a nice happy hour. Highly recommend this place for anyone planning a trip to Fort Worth.
Fantastic place. Just like the photos. The neighbourhood is also a great plus. No complaints whatsoever. I can't wait to come back!
The reservation was canceled 37 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
FIRST TIME AIRBNB, I was skeptical and now I will NEVER stay in a HOTEL again.
My wife and I recently celebrated our 3 year anniversary (with at least 63 more to come) and wanted to get away for the night. I priced out different hotels in the Fort Worth area and though we live in Fort Worth we needed a night away. I wasn't particularly impressed with previous stays in high priced downtown hotels so we came to AirBNB.
When I searched Fort Worth the Magnolia Ave Getaway was one of the first to popup and it fit all of our needs. Especially since we already had dinner reservations around the corner (no need for a cab) and all of the places we love to hang at are right there too.
When I spotted this place I had no idea HOW GREAT IT WOULD ACTUALLY BE. Andy responded almost immediately to confirm reservation. We were given instructions for checkin and had no problems accessing the house. We walked in and were taken aback by all of the charm. This little getaway has so much character. And Andy left us a little treat. My wife took a soak in the claw foot tub, an afternoon nap in the cozy bed. We took a deep breath and just relaxed. The home made it easy. We readied for dinner and WALKED just around the corner to one of the hottest restaurants in town. Went for a drink. And WALKED home. We climbed in bed and soared off into a dream world.
I awoke the next morning to fresh coffee that Andy had left and a beautiful sunrise. We shared breakfast at the little table to some music on the sound system and smiled.
THIS PLACE WAS SO PERFECT. Such an incredible getaway for locals and out-of-towners alike.
Andy is a spectacular host and we highly recommend this Magnolia Avenue Getaway. The house is comfortable and stylish and in a nice historic neighborhood. The two-bedrooms worked perfectly for two couples. Andy had a well-stocked refrigerator, whole bean coffee for our morning cup, a bottle of wine to welcome us -- really above and beyond our expectations. And a big plus for us is the walkability of the neighborhood. Magnolia Avenue is just a block away and it was fun to walk to dinner and a late-night treat. One more thing: Andy has a great notebook with good local places that is really helpful for visitors.
We had a great time at the house over Thanksgiving break. We have two small boys under the age of two and it was wonderful having the space to setup their sleeping area and have room to play. Andy was a awesome host and made every attempt to make sure we had everything we needed. We will be staying here again the next time we come to Fort Worth.
I was in town for a concert to celebrate an anniversary and both of us were SO GLAD we decided to stay here rather than at a hotel. The house is tastefully decorated, very comfortable, and in a neighborhood of Forth Worth that I adore. Its great to walk to coffee, lunch or dinner! Yet at the same time is only 15min away from the downtown destinations. Andy was an exceptionally nice host, he answered my emails quickly (there were many!!), was helpful throughout the process and most of all was so thoughtful. He left a rose, wine and note on the counter because it was our anniversary and I just thought that was so sweet of him to do. He was also accommodating with our late check in time on Friday night. If I every come back to town I know where I'll be staying!
Fantastic stay! Wonderful house, great host - and the best neighborhood ever!
My husband and I had a fantastic stay in Andy's house. The location is excellent, with many local and independent restaurants and bars within a short stroll. I would particularly like to mention The Boiled Owl (a pub) which was extremely welcoming and Lilli's (a café) where the food was excellent, It is also a great location for visiting local attractions in Fort Worth and the surrounding area.
The house itself was perfect for our needs, especially the bed which was extremely comfortable. We needed the AC and the heating whilst we were there and both worked perfectly.
Andy was an excellent host, who provided us with welcome drinks and snacks. He also came round on rubbish day and put out the bins, which was a lovely touch.
We will be back as soon as we can.
