It is based on how long the guest is staying, reason for the stay and interests. I am always available and very willing to assist in any way I can.

Other Things to Note
I've hosted guests from 2 nights to 6 months. When schedules are inline, I have picked up guests from O'Hare for $20.00 one way but it is not always possible.
No smoking. No visitors other than paid guest. Keep door closed to guest room in order to avoid the dog from getting into the guest room. The building maintains a quiet and safe environment and AIRBNB guests are asked to do all possible to do the same. For stays longer than a week, guests are asked to do wash their own sheets and towels. Smoking is not allowed as is not bringing pets.
I lived at Gail's for 2 months. My experience with her and scout was amazing. She is very kind, helpful and easy going. She made my stay in Chicago a lot easier. The place was easy accessible with CTA. Safe area and close to Lake Michigan. Target and Aldi were 10 min walking distance. Overall, I can recommend her to anyone visiting Chicago without any reservation.
This is my 2nd time staying with Gail, at her listing. The 2nd time more fun than the first! It's thoroughly enjoyable to come back, as you get to know someone better, and it's nice how that camaraderie and familiarization with each other grows. :) ... Down to the nitty-gritty: Scout is the most loyal, and protecting, medium-sized dog on the planet! A great animal. What makes this listing nice, for me, is in the details... in the room: mini-space-heater on the desk (so you can control your own heat if needed), multi-plugs next to night table and desk (easy when attaching lots of electronic devices), luggage rack, closet space, dresser, privacy, plenty of drawers and spaces to store your things, humidifier (just ask Gail) which comes in handy since the heating tends to dry the air pretty much, extra-pillows available (just ask Gail) to make single-bed cozy, and house is very quiet of noise pollution (no highway/trains/planes or noise around). In common area: Newly refurbished kitchen counters and walls, shared bathroom has heater and fan (just flick the switch), and fridge has lots of space for you to store your items. Pizzeria Aroma has nice-priced, tasty meals (different deals each day, too! Gail should have their menu). Cons: Air is a bit dry in house, and floors can creak a bit (so recommend not walking too hard, for neighbors sake). A quick note.. what I like about this host is that she is always finding ways to improve and values the feedback that she receives from guests, and I find that admirable. It was a pleasure, and I will be back! Thanks, Gail.
I chose to stay at Gail's place because of the proximity to where I worked. My entire stay was wonderful! Gail and Scout made me feel at home all the time. Scout is a super sweet dog that always put a smile on my face when I came back from work. The room was clean and equipped with everything I needed. Free access to kitchen was a plus because I like cooking. The location is great, close to bus line and Red Line (L train). There are grocery stores and restaurants within 15-minute walk distance. I didn't feel I need to have a car to run daily errands. I will definitely come back again if I visit Chicago in the future.
This was my first attempt at AirBNB, and it was awesome!
Gail, a wonderful host, went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and at ease. She is a knowledgeable resource who did not hesitate to lend a helping hand with a few travel issues... The location is conveniently located to public transportation and nothing was too far away. My room was neat, tidy, spacious and well-equipped. She and Scout (her adorable dog) were warm company to come "home" to after chilly days spent exploring the Windy (website hidden): word to the wise instagramers: Scout is a lill camera shy. :)
This host was very welcoming and easy going, throughout my stay. We even shared a few meals together, which was nice! The room contained a computer desk, luggage rack, vanity desk/mirror, single bed, night table, small space heater, coat hanger, large dresser and a large closet with plenty of space for my luggage and clothes for 1 week. Sharing one bathroom was never a problem, and the private bedroom had everything I needed to work from home, or just relax. The hosts dog, Scout, is very pretty and a sweetheart! The surrounding area is decent, with a nice Mariano's nearby, and was fairly close to my job. The Red Line CTA train is a close walk (10 minutes max). Great place for the value!!
I only stayed a few days in Chicago and I really enjoyed the home of Gail. She is very worried about everything and is also very accustomed to airbnb. I even received a manual of instructions, she is also very relaxed.
Gail is an excellent conversationalist and a very nice person.
Scout, your dog is a very friendly and playfully.
The house is very nice and is located in a quiet neighborhood, just 5 minutes walk to the Metro (CTA) Red Line, which connects directly to downtown.
The facilities are great and very comfortable.
Really, it is highly recommended.
