We have built a gorgeous and serene handcrafted multi story loft space in East Williamsburg. Enjoy our home and all that our wonderful neighborhood has to offer. 1.5 blocks to the subway!
Exposed wood beams and brick, fireplace, fantastic art, objects & roof deck. It almost doesn't seem like you’re in Brooklyn when you’re in our home. We currently have 3.5 bedrooms available in our loft.
Bedroom 1: Queen Size Bed. Office - Bathroom + Shower - Laundry Room.
Bedroom 2: Full Size Bed - Private Bathroom + Shower + Huge Closet.
Bedroom 3: Full Size Bed. This is not the quietest room however our son sleeps very well in there. This room is great for kids or deep sleepers.
In the winter time enjoy sitting in front of our gorgeous mid century conical fireplace. Large kitchen with all the bells and whistles including a dishwasher. French press coffee maker. We always have plenty of gorgeous towels and linens as well as fresh soaps. There is always fabulous coffee.
Our home is perfect for three groups of friends or an entire family. Upon request we do have fold out mattresses that could used in the downstairs office or the living room to accommodate extra people.
With the rental of our entire home guests will have minimal interaction with us. However we will be the friendly people who greet you and show you the ropes.
Our neighborhood is amazing! Inspiring street art - cafes - music venues - interesting people. Our neighborhood and NYC in general is a plethora of inspiring fascinating images - content - people - experiences. Everyone always experiences their own New York.
It's so easy to get around our neighborhood. The L Train is two blocks away. The Q 59 bus also goes straight into Williamsburg. We also have bikes that we can loan you or you can partake in the Citi Bike share program.
Our home is professionally maintained by a cleaning service.
All of our towels and bedding are 100 % cotton. Pillows and bed spreads are hypo allergenic.
We use a vegetable based laundry detergent. If you know you are allergic to this type of detergent please let me know.

Elissa is just a great host and her home is great.. exactly what we were expecting. Very clean, nice and very well located. I'll definitly come back there my next time in NYC !! Thanks Elissa.. So long !
First of all, let me say that Elissa and Jay are two very cool people - they have interesting stories, are incredibly welcoming and their home reflects their eclectic, artisan style - they certainly make you feel comfortable in their home, perfect Airbnb hosts...and the fact that the bedroom is on the bottom floor means you feel like you have your own private spaces.
In addition, the room is very clean, cozy and well-decorated, fantastic nice little space with everything thought of.
The bathroom was super clean and we barely noticed the fact that it was shared, also clean-looking decor. The shower was a bit tricky handle would fall off and the water pressure was quite low - however, after letting Elissa know about this she assured me they would fix this for future guests.
The only negative part of our experience was the fact that the location felt pretty far out there - the L train was closed the weekend we were there (apparently not an uncommon occurrence) and with that down it's close to an hour to most places in manhattan via the G train or a 30-40 minute train ride then a 1+ mile walk or cab ride to the JMZ. In addition, while there seems to be several cool spots walking distance from the house (donut place is pretty solid and some cool looking bars), its very spread out and for out-of-towners like us, wasn't the bustling Williamsburg we were expecting (that would have been a few subway stops down off Bedford ave. had the L been running).
They are super clear about the location - this was totally our fault, but just letting non-locals or those unfamiliar w/BKLN know that this East W-berg location might not be best if you are looking for a ton of stuff at arms length.
Oh...and another plus for cat-people like us, their cat is super awesome/sweet.
Please note that all the subways in NYC undergo regular maintenance not just the L Train. The L Train being down that weekend is out of our control and should not reflect negatively on our listing or location. When subways are down it sucks no matter where you are :/
Thank you for letting us know about the shower handle. Not sure why it fell off but Jay is looking into it.
Having stayed in probably 15 different Airbnb places, I think this one was the best experience I have ever had. The loft is incredibly pretty, very clean and Elissa & Jay decorated it very nicely! They were lovely guests, really friendly and I had some great time with them. The room was also very comfortable and the location is very convenient.
Elissa and Jay are easily the nicest people I've ever met. They are also great designers/artists, so if you are interested in those stuff you'll definitely enjoy being there. The house is gorgeous, spacious and clean, and considering the conditions of the place, it's pretty affordable too. This was the best Airbnb I've ever done so far.
Joy an I could not have asked for a more beautiful and comfortable stay. This is my favorite part of Brooklyn and I've always wanted to stay in this neighborhood. The streets are incredibly artistic and inspiring and the space that Elissa has created is an absolute artist's dream home. I would highly recommend staying here, not only is everything so thoughtfully designed, but also, the loft is incredibly clean and simply nice to hang out in. They've created a true place of solace in the heart of a city full of white noise.
Moreover, Elissa was very communicative and everything was very friendly and seamless. I had the best birthday weekend I can remember and its in large part because we stayed at this loft. Thanks again Elissa, Joy and I will be back until we finally return to BK in August!
We had such a fun time staying with Elissa and Jay. They are experienced and friendly hosts with so much knowledge about the area they live in.
The premises is something quite special - the care, attention and dedication gone into the apartment definitely has the wow factor. We left leaving inspired by Elissa, Jay and all of their artwork and belongings. The room we rented was lovely, cosy, warm and so much more interesting than your average hotel room in the city.
The neighbourhood was brilliant. Really fantastic if you appreciate your art as the graffiti walls are outstanding and there is a real feel of energy in the neighbourhood. Fantastic eateries and bars are round the corner from the apartment. Bedford avenue is 20 mins away and is full of creative spaces with a really huge variety of food and beers! Beer here is amazing and you can easily find some of the best in the world right on your doorstep.
Very easy links into Manhatten and the surrounding boroughs also.
We really felt like part of the family staying with Elissa and Jay and we can say that we feel better people for it!
If you love something a bit quirky with atmosphere and meeting new people then definitely stay here. Fantastic value for money and we really want to return in the Summer months to experience Brooklyn in another light! We miss you!
All those long reviews, you don't need many words: just a great place, great hosts and great location (if you like these kind of non-touristic neighbourhoods).
Elissa and her husband Jay are wonderful people! They have very dynamic personalities, super culturally aware and were very accommodating. This by far one of the most beautiful houses I've seen, very bohemian and well maintained. I enjoyed the East Williamsburg neighborhood, it was pretty easy to get around to Bedford and other cool bars. If you're looking for a unique experience in Brooklyn, I'd definitely recommend this house
