About This Listing
Cozy room for one or two people in an older house with lots of atmosphere in a quiet area very close to Aarhus University and IT-City Katrinebjerg. Breakfast included.
"The University's Backyard # 2" is approximately 15 m2, lies within the Ring I and has room for 1 or 2 guests.
You will find wardrobe space, a table for dining or as a work station, and a comfortable chair in the room. (There are also books in several languages if you find that amusing). In addition, there could be a cot available.
Room #2 1 night, 1 person: DKK 400
Extra person per night: 100 DKK
The room can be rented on a weekly or a monthly basis by agreement.
The room is located on the 1st floor in our private home and has a shared bathroom on the ground floor. We ourselves use a second bathroom.
There is no access to kitchen facilities. But breakfast with homemade bread can be served in your room (or in the garden if the weather permits!) by reservation on beforehand.
You will find a very good pizza joint close by, and in walking distance very good restaurants (including sushi bars and vegetarian places).
The area is well suited if you like to go for a morning run with two great parks just outside the door.
The location within the Ring I allows you to reach the city center's facilities on foot in 10 to 15 minutes, while the bus ride home with one of 3 lines, takes 5 to 7 minutes. There is also bus directly to Aarhus University Hospital in Skejby.
Aarhus University, the Botanical Garden, IT-City Katrinebjerg, and Aarhus University Hospital, Noerrebrogade, are all within walking distance from our house.
Please respect that this is a no smoking home. This also applies to outdoor areas. Thank you.

Tom and Irene Welcomed us in their typical Danish home.
Every morning we started with a big, traditional breakfast in a small, beautiful room with a view of the gardeN.
Otherwise the house was a stone's throw away from the centre.
I had a wonderful stay with Irene and Tom. They were the most gracious and helpful hosts, who were on hand to respond promptly to any question I had prior to my visit, and were only to willing to help during my time in their home. They are very helpful in getting me to find the right bus from Aarhus airport to the Aarhus center. when my plane was delayed and I arrived in Aarhus much later than planned, Tom picked me up at the bus stop. When I leaved they derived me to the airport. They are very nice. The room was clean and lovely, and the breakfast is delicious! When the Chinese new year came, they invited me to have dinner, and drunk champagne, the food cooked by Tom was very delicious. I absolutely recommend staying here.
Another lovely stay with Tom and Irene! This time in winter, with Christmas lights making the house look like a fairy tale. Tom was extremely helpful in getting me to the right bus, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. In short, it was perfect as always! Thank you so much!
Irene&Tom were most kind and helpful hosts. There was a beautiful park/garden nearby for morning run and the centre wasn't too far to walk. Quiet neighborhood and comfortable bed guaranteed a good night's sleep and it was wonderful to wake up for a delicious breakfast! I stayed over a weekend and though I was quite independent to search the city I had all the help and care I would need.
I had a very nice stay with Irene and Tom at "The University's Backyard #2" in Aarhus. They are both warm and welcoming. The room is quiet, spacious, very clean and the bed has a comfortable mattress! Irene and Tom further offer a delicious breakfast for a good value extra price which they bring to the room! The location is well connected by bus or a 15 minutes walk away from the center. I enjoyed my stay very much and I will definitely come back when I visit Aarhus next time.
