These rooms and home are for you if you consider yourself a neat, clean, responsible, respectful, well educated person with common sense that is detail oriented and active. If you do not fit into these categories, you will not be happy here and should keep looking. Seriously!

There's 1 shared bathroom that you must keep clean as well as all other shared living areas.

This is a drug free home and drugs will not be tolerated at all!

There are no pets here and renters are not allowed to have any. FYI: I do sometimes dog sit a poodle for family when they are on vacation. If you have allergy considerations, please let me know.

This is a non-smoking home. Renters who do smoke, must do so outside where they can enjoy our large covered front porch or side deck. Cigarette butts must be placed in the garbage and not left on the ground around the property..

Guests also have use of the other spaces; kitchen (newly remodeled in 2014 with stainless steel appliances), dining room, living room, laundry room (new Maytag front-load washer and dryer December 2014), basement for storage and small gym there (weight bench and stationary bike) as well as the large fenced yard.

We also have a nice 28' x 28' vegetable garden in the summer.

On street parking is plentiful on my street.

My home is a short 4 block walk to the local LANTA bus stop for route #106 and #216 on St. John Street. Please see their website for full details.

It is an easy 15-20 minute walk to the Easton downtown center square where the main bus station is as well as shops, bars, art galleries and restaurants. See more on Easton, by going to "w w w select easton period com" where you can see a great video and more on Easton.

Buses are about 2 hours from Easton to New York City and Philadelphia.

Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE) is a 20 minute drive, Newark Airport is a 1 hour drive and Philadelphia Airport is 1 1/2 hours drive.

I can show visitors new to the area around in the evenings and weekends.

I go to bed around 11pm during the week and later on weekends. This is not a party house. Please be considerate.

We have plenty of extra sheets and blankets for those cold winter nights and fans for the hot summer ones.

See pics for a look and message me with any questions.

I hope you'll consider staying here and I look forward to meeting you.

Kevin

House Rules

As a Guest, you agree to the following by making a payment for this room/unit:

Reading all of the House Rules below. Ignorance of the House Rules, like ignorance of the law, is no excuse or defense.

Guests will be a neat, clean and respectful. The Guest will be held to those standards by everyone else residing at the home, not just the Host.

No Illegal Drugs on property. The Host has Zero tolerance, the police will be called, the Guest will be out on the street immediately and no booking/payment refund will be authorized.

No Underage Drinking on property. If a Guest is under 21 years old, they are not allowed to have alcoholic beverages at this home. The police may be called and alcoholic beverages confiscated.

No Unapproved Visitors. If a Guest would like to have a Visitor, that Visitor needs to be pre-approved by the Host before they come to the home. If not approved, any Visitor is trespassing and the police may be called to remove them.

No Parties on property. Only a booked/paid Guest is allowed on this property, any Guest’s friends or family are not allowed. Unless pre-approved by the Host ahead of time, Unapproved Visitors will be trespassing and the police may be called to remove them. A group of Guests are restricted from having a party as well unless pre-approved by the Host.

No Approved Visitors allowed in the bedrooms. Unless pre-approved by the Host ahead of time, no Approved Visitors are allowed in the bedrooms. There is a living room, dining room, kitchen as well as outdoor spaces to meet with Approved Visitors.

No Overnight Approved Visitors. If a Guest would like to have an overnight visitor, that visitor needs to be pre-approved by the Host before they come to this home and they will need to pay the Additional Guests nightly rate.

No Smoking inside the home. Smoking outside is allowed as long as the Guest uses an ashtray and disposes of the ashes and butts properly. If a Guest does not dispose of ashes and butts properly, this privilege will be revoked by the Host.

No Pets owned by guests on property. The Host does dog sit a miniature poodle, so there may be a dog at times in this home, but this is very rare. This is your notice for any allergy concerns. Please ask if you have any concerns.

No food or drinks in the bedrooms. This includes eating, drinking, food storage or preparation in the bedroom. A Guest is allowed a glass of water in the bedrooms as an exception to this rule. We have a kitchen, dining room and living room as well as outdoor space for eating and drinking. There is ample room for food storage in the kitchen and refrigerator.

Guests will only flush body waist and toilet paper down the toilet. No paper towels, sanitary napkins or trash should ever be flushed which will cause the toilet to block and overflow. The only exception to this is toilet bowel cleaner.

Guests will keep the home secure. Everyone will use the back door as the primary entrance and keep all exterior doors locked at all times. It is the Guest’s responsibility to fully close and lock the doors whenever they leave and enter the home. Ground level windows should also be secured if no one is home.

Guests will maintain quiet hours. Workweek (Sunday - Thursday) quiet hours are 10pm – 8am and weekend (Friday - Saturday) 12am – 10am. Noise must be kept to a whisper during these quiet hours, especially on the second floor near bedrooms. Guests will keep the volume of all electronics with speakers turned down to a level of sound that does not annoy or interfere with other guests.

Guests will conserve the Earth's resources. Guests will turn off all water completely in the kitchen and bathroom when not in use. Guest will also keep lights, heat and air conditioning off when rooms are unoccupied. Automatic night lighting for your safety should not be turned off.

Guests will recycle. Items required to be recycled by the city of Easton are paper products, plastic, glass and aluminum. Any fines by the city will be passed on to the Guest if the Guest does not recycle properly. Detailed recycling information to be followed is posted near the recycling and trash bins in the laundry room.

Guests will clean up after themselves. As a Guest, you are human and will make a mess. The Guest will clean up any mess they create immediately. As a rule of thumb, clean as you go and keep all spaces neat and clean. After a Guest uses anything, the Guest will clean up. Examples, but not a limited list: After use, a Guest will clean the stove top, oven, toaster oven and microwave, all dirty dishes they create and not leave any in the sink, put away clean dry dishes, wipe the kitchen counters, sink and table, keep the toilet, mirror, shower, floor and carpet clean, etc. The Host is not the maid or the Guest’s mother, but the Host will tell the Guest all about any mess like the Guest’s father since it is the Guest responsibility to clean up after themselves.

Guest are responsible to cover expenses for any property damages they cause. They will cover all expenses for the repair or replacement (of equal or greater value) for any damages they cause to the property itself or any items on site at the property.

Guest are responsible for keys. They will pay a replacement key fee of TWENTY DOLLARS ($20.00) if they loses their house and/or room key.

As a Multi-Month Guest, stays over 1 month, you agree to the following additional chores each month:
Guests will clean the common rooms assigned to them monthly. Cleaning is shared between all Guests and the Host. Depending on the number of Guests, that will determine how many common rooms each person is responsible for cleaning during the first week of the month and the rooms will vary each month.

Guests will share in the responsibilities of trash collection. The Guest will share the responsibility with the Host to put all filled trash cans and recycling bins out on the curb Tuesday nights and bring in the empty containers on Wednesday evenings. If the Host is not home, this responsibility solely falls on the Guests.

Guests will share in the responsibilities of snow and ice removal. In winter, the Guest will share the responsibility with the Host to shovel snow to clear all walkways and parking spaces. If the Host is not home, this responsibility solely falls on the Guests. Any fines by the city will be passed on to the Guest if the Guest does not clear the public walkways.

Guests will keep their bedroom clean and neat. It is the Guest's responsibility to keep their private living space clean.

Note: All of the above have been compiled after many, many years of hosting Guests and are reasonable to reasonable people. Read all my Airbnb reviews and you will see that I am tough, but fair. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask me.

Kevin is indeed a superhost. His attention to detail--from the light on the key ring to the super soft flannel sheets is wonderful. Enjoyed my stay immensely.

Kevin’s place is, happily, exactly as advertised: a comfortable bedroom, full use of a full kitchen and laundry. It’s a very short drive down to central Easton, with those cool restaurants on Fifth Street, and the striking riverfront – as well as a few minutes’ drive to I-78, for those in town on business. The street is quiet, the parking easy, the vibe comfortable. Great value.

Kevin was an amazing host. He was really welcome and the stay was amazing. The house was cozy but I have my own privacy in the place. I'm also very glad that I have an air condition in this heat. All in all, it was a great stay and I love every minute of it.

Response from Kevin:
I'm glad that you enjoyed your stay An. Best of luck finishing up college in Boston!

Appreciated how everything was nice and clean even with having multiple people in the house. Kevin was good about setting expectations with everyone to ensure things went smooth. The neighborhood was also quiet with low traffic so I slept with the windows open on several nights and woke up to the sounds of birds chirping. The house is located near the Easton downtown which was super convenient to get to some great restaurants and events such as the Easton Farmers market and Two Rivers Brewing Company.

Response from Kevin:
Thanks Laz! Hope to see you around your new home here in the Lehigh Valley!

Kevin was a great host during my stay. His place is very nice, the rooms were great, and you are close to several restaurant options in Easton's downtown. Staying at Kevin's place has been one of my best experiences on Airbnb.

Where do I begin? Kevin was a very gracious host and was so flexible and accommodating. To briefly describe my predicament: my parents had sold our home and I had been wanting to live on my own for quite some time. Being the procrastinator that I am however, I waited until virtually it was too late to find a quality living space. I turned to Airbnb as a last resort and came across Kevin's listing. I decided to message him thinking it was a shot in the dark but he responded right away and even though he was away on vacation, he arranged to have someone check me in! As for the home itself, it is cozy and inviting and conveniently located near downtown Easton and Philipsburg. Kevin met all of my expectations and then some, so for that I am grateful. As someone who has never used Airbnb before, I highly recommend both the platform because of its concept and how user-friendly it is, as well as renting from Kevin specifically. Cheers!

Response from Kevin:
Christian, glad that we were able to work things out while I was out of the country on vacation and get you settled in. It's been great hosting you.

Nice gay guy that loves to travel! I've been all around the world, too many places to list. So if you love travel too, we will get along very well! I work for for a travel company where I am currently a project manager in eCommerce and previously was a software testing manager in IT. Short and sweet description, LOL.
