We refer to our place as Contemporary Tropical, with a well lit open layout, concrete and wood floors, concrete counter tops, and colorful pleasing visual appeal. The kitchen is spacious, has a gas convection oven and plenty of room to make your evening meals. The major appeal to our house is our large outdoor Kitchen/ BBQ area with Palapa and gas fire pit. A wonderful place to cook your meals, sit and enjoy a glass of wine, and sun tan while listening to music.
The bedroom is simple, and the bed features a Memory Foam Mattress that is probably the same as sleeping on a cloud :-) . The bed is custom size it measures 50"x77" and it is elevated 3.5' of the floor. A step stool is provided for those who need a little extra boost.
You will have your own private bathroom that has recently been remodeled.
Our house is walking distance to the bay (a few blocks) and bike riding distance from Montana De Oro (4 miles) where you can find great mountain biking trails, horse back riding, surfing and hiking.
Aaron and Clinessa were born and raised in the area and would be happy to share our local knowledge of great mountain biking trails, hiking, surf spots, wineries, and beer tasting, music events.
There is a bus station a block away and cruiser bikes can be provided to the right people.
We have a cat (Mr. Whorf) and dog (Modella), so yes pets are allowed but will be screened.
The whole house.
Interaction with Guests
We love to interact with our guests and are very outgoing. We are down to interact on whatever level our guest are comfortable with.
We live in a very friendly neighborhood. It walking distance to the back bay which is very picturesque.
Our favorite thing is how quiet it is. At night we can lay in bed with the widows open and it is 100% quiet. No noise at all, it is extremely peaceful.
A car is recommended.
Have fun, be respectful, clean up after yourselves.
During the week we both work so check in will have to be after 5 pm. On weekends there is much more flexibility with check in. Please give us a call when you know what time you will be arriving so we can make sure you will have a key and everything you need for a comfortable stay.
We made a last minute booking with Aaron and things couldn't have gone better - he and his wife were delightful, their home is beautiful, and their pets are lovely :o) Aaron was great at contacting us and answering any questions. We'd definitely recommend this place an hope to stay again in the future.
Aaron was a fabulous host and the space was exactly as described - very beautiful and "island-y". The bed is pretty high but the step made it easy to get up and down and it was cozy. We slept comfortably. The shower in the "wet room" is very, very cool. The gas fire pit in the backyard is also a delightful feature. Though we came in pretty late and Aaron was headed to bed he showed us how to ignite the fire pit. The neighborhood was quiet and in the morning a woman came by selling homemade tamales! We bought a few and had a delicious, fresh (still warm!) tamale breakfast on the patio. Overall, it was a lovely experience. My only concern at all was that the resident dog - who was very sweet to us - was a little cranky with our dog. I'd definitely recommend Aaron's beautiful home to others.
Wonderful place and extremely uncomplicated hosts: As they needed to head out of town and were not there when I arrived, they would just let me in and stay on my own. Looking forward to revisit!
We felt very welcome. The accommodations were as described and the neighborhood was adorable and people very friendly.
My fiancee and I stayed at Aaron's bungalow for one night while driving up the Pacific Coast Highway from LA to SF. The bungalow was conveniently located on a quiet residential street only a few minutes off the highway and was near several restaurants/cafes, grocery stores, and the bay.
The pictures and description on the listing were accurate. The bungalow had a very unique and colorful look, the bed was comfortable, and we had a private bedroom/bathroom and were welcomed to use the kitchen. Aaron and Clinessa were nice enough to allow us to check in even when they were out for the night, and we had no trouble getting in and making ourselves comfortable.
We would definitely recommend this bungalow to other guests!
Beautiful place, friendly neighbors, awesome shower, had a fantastic time. Recommend to anyone looking to visit the area!
Staying with Aaron in Los Osos was fantastic. Aaron was super accommodating, showed us around and was very warm and open with their house. Los Osos is just outside of Morro Bay and even more laid back and quiet, just what we were looking for. Would definitely recommend these accommodations.
Aaron and Clinessa are both from the central coast. We enjoy being active, adventuring, hiking, biking, surfing, scuba diving, meeting new peeps, listening to music etc. Pretty much all kinds of fun stuff that life has to offer.
We enjoy all the things there are to do here at home. Wine tasting, beer drinking, music festivals, concerts bands and nightlife. We have lots of fun friends and a close community here in Los Osos.
We also like to vacation whenever we get the opportunity. We have been to a lot of different countries and places in the world and is one of the reasons we would like to share our home with fellow travelers.
The Central Coast is a great area to visit and vacation and we would be stoked to give you as much information as we can to help you have a memorable and super fun stay.
