  • This place worked out great for us. It had everything we needed with a bit of space to call home. Lovely location in a safe neighbourhood It was great to have street parking right in front and after a day or two we knew our way around many areas of the city. . Paul and Carolyn were very gracious and helpful and the support system they've devised works smoothly and efficiently. They made great restaurant suggestions and were fun to share our experience with when we had time. Comfortable Clean and Funky. Can't say enough. Our first AirBnB experience couldn't have been better and we're delighted ! Thanks P&C Carolyn & Ron

  • Paul was a great host and his funky pad worked perfectly for us and our 18 year old who is on a college tour of the Pacific NW. The pad was fitted out with everything we needed and was clean, quiet and comfy. Paul gave us recommendations and directions for using public transportation to get around the city.

  • Thank you so much Paul for your wonderful hospitality! Paul's home is breathtakingly gorgeous, in a fantastic & picturesque part of town and very safe, and the AirBnB suite is amazing beyond words. Paul was a very kind and welcoming host who gave lots of great advice whenever we asked, and the suite is stocked with unexpected bonuses, from books to food and other little facilities. The place is just pristine and very close to transport links into town. Truly a great experience and highly recommend this listing!

  • What a great experience! Everything about our stay, from booking on AirBnB and staying in a shared residence for the first time, was above and beyond our expectations. The suite was exactly as the pictures portrayed and Paul was very welcoming. Our favorite aspect of our stay was how comfortable, open, and inviting the suite felt. It was like we were home....albeit, a much better decorated version of our homes ;-)

Another plus about the suite is it's location; lovely neighborhood, beautiful park, and amazing food! And downtown Portland is just across the bridge. We will definitely be back!

  • This pad will warm off the chill of Portland's dampness. Paul was gracious and a great communicator. Just above the skylight, Magnolia blossoms floated in the March sky.

  • Very nice place, everything was provided for us. Comfy beds and very clean, beautiful home and area. We has a view of beautiful tree blooming from almost window. Understand I am taller than most, 6' 3", so the bathroom was a little short for me, but other than that, nice place, great host.

  • Paul and Carolyn's funky pad is great. Safe location with a great park across the street. Very cozy feeling with a cute purple mini room for the second bed. Paul was very accommodating, staying up late for our arrival and responsive with text messages.

  • We had a great time in Portland visiting my daughter who has recently moved there from the east coast. The Funky Pad Suite was a great place to stay. Very private space and quiet. It had everything we needed and was very clean. Contemporary furnishings and interesting colors spoke to my artist heart. They provided info about the area and guidebooks. The neighborhood is lovely and there is convenient parking on the street. I would highly recommend it.

  • Mu husband and I stayed here for a little get away. The space was so unique and so comfortable. Very clean and we felt at home for a couple days. Paul and Carolyn were great host. The house was in a very beautiful neighborhood and right across the street from a beautiful park. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

  • This is one of the cutest places we stayed and awesome that it is our "own" suite and not just a private room. The small room with the bed is very cool and nice to have a second bed. The TV and couch was nice to have as well and everything about the stay was great. We enjoyed it and would stay there again for sure. They also have THE MOST comfortable beds we've ever slept on before.

I'm Paul, and I'm a web designer. I work from home usually, so I'm often here to guide and serve. I love to cook, and claim to make the 2nd best Pizza in all of Portland... but I'll let you be the judge. I'm an East Coaster and spent a chunk of my earlier days in Boston and New York City. Carolyn is a smallwares specialist for the local restaurant industry, a DJ, and an artist/designer of many things, from jewelry, to clothes to accessories. She's from San Diego and went to SFSU. We both look forward to meeting you and showing you a fun and memorable stay.
