Each lockable bedroom has a queen bed for up to 2 guests as needed for friends travelling together in a party.
Flannagan Lodge is a single reservation stay whether there is one person or up to six in your reservation.
Amenities include: mini-fridge, microwave, ice maker, PRIMO hot/cold water with K-Cup coffee, toaster, Ninja Cooker(On Request), basic wares & more.
The space
Flannagan Lodge offers private guest quarters designed for one to six guests with double occupancy per room; whether you’re traveling solo, as a family, or as a group of friends.
Arrival is simple: Map to us on Google Maps or Apple Maps, Search for "Flannagan Lodge, Haysi, VA." On arrival, park in our half-circle driveway; At the sidewalk, follow the lighted red stone walkway around to the wooden deck and enter through your private guest entrance. The deck is reserved for your group’s exclusive use.
On arrival day, you’ll receive an access code for easy self-check-in.
Inside, comfort meets convenience. The wide hallway includes a mini-fridge, microwave, ice maker, and Primo® hot/cold water with K-Cup coffee. A Ninja Foodi PossibleCooker (On Request) is available so you can return from your day with a warm meal ready.

Single Occupancy Rooms:
If three guests each want their own private bedroom, simply book for FIVE guests to bypass manual processing request for added payment from the Host. If 3 guests are reserved, only 2 bedrooms are opened. Added cost is for additional cleaning/laundry and the minimum charges to have all 3 rooms opened.
If 2 guests want separate, private bedrooms: Book as though 3 people are in your reservation.
If 3 guests want 3 separate, private bedrooms: Book as 5 people are in your reservation.

Over the years, we’ve hosted guests for family reunions, outdoor adventures, reunions, memorials, bikers on the TransAmerica Trail, and traveling professionals. The lodge has been fully remodeled to provide privacy, comfort, and convenience for every type of traveler.
Guest access
Entry: Guests ascend five steps to the deck and enter through their private guest entrance. On check-in day, you’ll receive your personal access code. Bedrooms unlock based on your booking size; additional bedroom codes are provided when reserved.
Privacy & Security: Guest Quarters offer privacy throughout your stay. Outdoor security cameras monitor only exterior areas for guest and property safety.
Outdoor Spaces: Guests enjoy exclusive use of the wooden deck, yard, and fenced area. A private spot for smoking or relaxing is available—just ask your host. (Complimentary cigarette butt holder provided on request.)
Parking: Free use of the half-circle driveway (up to two vehicles).
Visitors: For insurance reasons, only registered guests are allowed on the property. No outside visitors are permitted.
Transportation: Guests must have their own vehicle; taxi/Uber/Lyft service is not available in our rural area.
EV Charging: Not available on-site. Nearby charging stations are located at Food City in Clintwood and Town Hall in Haysi.
Safety Note: Please do not run cords across the yard—our auto-mower maintains the lawn, and cords can be damaged. If you need a special accommodation, let us know in advance.
Other things to note
Smoking & Vaping: Outdoors only, away from doors and walk paths. Please dispose of all remnants properly—never on the ground or hillside. On request, we provide a reusable cup-style disposal holder for your convenience.
3rd-Party Reservations: Company managers, schools, or organizations may book on behalf of guests, as long as the correct number of guests is entered at the time of reservation for accurate, automated payment.
Safety Registration: All guests should be added under the Airbnb reservation. This ensures everyone can contact the host through the Airbnb app or call feature in case of questions or emergencies.
Sanitization:
Eco-Friendly Environment & Pest Awareness
As part of our commitment to sustainability and the protection of local wildlife and food sources, we do use pet and human SAFE "chemical" pesticides on the property purchased and subscribed through appropriate vendors.
Because of this environmentally friendly approach, guests may occasionally encounter insects such as ants, bees, beetles, centipedes, cockroaches, fleas, flies, ticks, spiders, or even small critters—particularly if food is left out to attract them. Our outdoors is in the mountains where we have snakes, coyotes, foxes, black bears, etc.
To help minimize encounters:
• Do not leave food or beverages exposed, especially overnight inside nor on the guest exclusive deck. Black Bears live to join picnics.
• Keep floors, counters, and surfaces free of crumbs or spills. Wipe with disinfectant wipes after mopping up spills.
Please remember, this property is located in The Heart of the Appalachian Mountains and occasional sightings of insects or critters are a normal part of the environment, even with the highest standards of cleanliness and keeping the lawn perfect.
Refunds are not provided for insect or critter sightings inside the home or around the property.
We encourage guests to notify us of any pest activity so we can take appropriate, safe steps to maintain comfort for everyone.
We live on the property and as such we take vigilant steps to ensure a clean and sanitary environment for all guests.
Our process includes:
1. Regular Scheduled Extermination Spraying with Human and Pet Safe Chemicals.
2. Prophylacticly Treating around baseboards, crevices, door thresholds, furniture, and appliances with FOOD GRADE chemicals (DE).
3. Hospital Grade UV Lighting Sanitization which requires vacancy for several hours between guests for air ventilation.
