The Space

The apartment is two night minimum stay! It is rented out in its entirety. The apartment is modern and it has lots of natural light. It Is a two bedroom apartment but one room is my studio (this will be closed during the duration of your stay). Although if interested in accessories you can always request a viewing! The main bedroom has a king-size bed with en-suite, there is a main bathroom off the hall, from the hall you enter the kitchen and living room, this s open plan that which leads onto the balcony. The living area has twin and three seater couch. Kitchen with table and chairs and normal appliances.

This apartment is in a safe, gated apartment complex . 3 story building with my apartment on the top 'penthouse' (only a joke with the neighbours) interesting views from balcony looking onto Irishtown and other local views.

This is a great neighborhood with loads of restaurant and bar options, and wonderful walking area. Irishtown Library is in front of the building of the Bottleworks. There is a hair salon 5 minutes from the apartment. There is a cafe/charity shop next door to the apartment! An express supermarket downstairs opened until 11pm. Poolbeg beach, Irishtown Nature Reserve. Sandymount beach, all walking distance. Great for walking. Right around the corner is the Oarsman pub which is great for food and sport, the yacht club also another great local. Next to that is a laundry and dry cleaner service, local shops eg. Pharmacist, Ferera Fish and Chip shop excellent I might add!. Then heading left after the bridge 5 minutes up South Lotts Road, you have Junior's, Paulie's, The Chop House and pubs Slattery's, The Bath, Beggar's Bush. Going to town via Pearse Street, instead of taking a left onto South Lotts Road, (which is where Air BNB headquarters are now, very cool building and look to it's working environment). On Pearse St, you have the Grand Canal dock area with Bord Gais theatre, many bars the Marker Hotel , Ely Restaurant.

Aviva stadium is at your doorstep. RDS is 25/30 minute walk. Merion Square, The National gallery and The Dail (Government office) are all very accessible by walking. One can register for Dublin bikes ((website hidden)) if you like cycling!

My space is easy and relaxing environment, very accessible to town and nice and easy neighbourhood if you prefer to be in a quieter part of town. Close to O2, Aviva stadium for a game and aircoach for the airport. It can accommodate 4 people.

Guest Access

Wi-fi and car park - for re-cycling depending on the duration of your stay ie longer (email hidden) apartment is rented out in its entirety. As mentioned the studio will be closed, this door is off the hall area. Balcony area nice and easy weather permitting etc.

Interaction with Guests

As much as they would like. If I can advise on any things of interest whilst in Dublin or travelling around the country. I am available any time to talk with them.

The Neighborhood

It is a great neighbourhood for local attraction, walking, eating, socialising and easy travelling into town either by walking or taking local transport bus or luas! The luas is across the east toll bridge. This is situated between the O2 venue and the Gibson hotel which is lovely place to sit and enjoy the local roof top view. There is a cinema also next to the Gibson, which is handy if you do not want to head into town. Low price tickets from Monday to Thursday!

Getting around

Walking is easy, Buses run regularly into town 1 and 77, then by walking 10 minutes on Charlotte quay there is a 50 56a 77 and 77a. 5 bus stops and you in town ! The luas is over by the Gibson Hotel and O2 another option to get into town.

Other Things to Note

Aviva stadium is worth a look . A easy view is on the bridge or Ringsend, interesting architecture in the area, the Gasworks building, the Canal is beautiful for walks and picnics.

  • We came to spend a week in Dublin and see the sights! Anne Marie gave very clear instructions on getting to the apartment and had her friend waiting for us when w/the keys when we arrived. She left a list of very helpful instructions and was incredibly responsive to any questions we had the whole time! The apartment was clean, convenient, cozy and comfy. We were walking distance from the city center and close to some great pubs! I cannot say enough lovely things about the city of Dublin, the county of Ireland and I have Anne Marie to thank profusely for hosting us and providing great information throughout. I would definitely recommend the apartment to others and would love to come back some day.

Thank you for everything Anne Marie, we had a great time all of the time!

  • We stayed 4 nights at Anne Marie's place and had a very good time. The flat is clean and in a very nice area in Dublin. Lots of nice pubs and shops in the area and very close to the beach. There is a bus stop right outside the door and buses go right into town. We walked it quite often too as it is not too far. About 20min walk. Tesco in same building which was very handy. Appartment also very quiet so one can sleep very well - event on St Patrick's Day.
The apartment has two bath rooms which was perfect for 3 people and the bed was very comfortable.
Unfortunately I have not met Anne Marie myself as I arrived late but Anne Marie was very helpful before we arrived and everything went very smoothly.

I can (email hidden) just down the road called Vintage. Probably the nicest owner I have ever met. They have cake and games and unlike temple Bar we were the only foreigners there. Everybody was very welcoming.

I would definitely stay here again.

  • We had a good time in 'have a good time all the time'. Because of a good communication by e-mail with our host Anne-Marie and her readiness to help us out when we needed something, we felt very nicely hosted in Dublin.
The appartment is nice, clean, comfortable and everything needed is available. For 2 persons it is perfect. For 4 persons it is perfect too if one doesn't mind to sleep on an air matrass in the living room, which we didn't : ).
Anne-Marie kindly provided us with some first food needs when we arrived and the Tesco directly downstairs open from early in the morning till late at night is very comfortable.
    Thank you Anne-Marie.

  • We had a very nice stay at Anne-Marie's apartment. A bit of a mix-up on who was letting us in, but a text message to Anne-Marie had that sorted out within a few minutes, so no harm done. Anne-Marie had excellent suggestions for us, a few of which we took to goood results. The apartment itself is very nicely and artistically decorated, clean, and quiet - windows face away from the street, which isn't all that noisy at night anyways. There was a very good assortment of kitchenware for dinners and breakfasts, and even some bread and milk left for us to use, and there's a supermarket in the building. I stayed there with two teenage daughters, them in the bedroom and me on the couch. Perfectly acceptable to us, and helped with our travel budget. For those who can't withstand sleeping on couches, three people might be one too many for this apartment. For a couple it would be fantastic. We were skimping on budget and so went in to the couch arrangement with eyes wide open, and were fine with it. The location is pretty good, easy to get there from the airport on the shuttle bus. For getting downtown, I wish there (email hidden) bus line, but we were fine with it. Several times we just walked in to town, it's about 30 minute brisk walk to the Temple bar or St Stephen's Green area. It's close to the Aviva Stadium for those who care, but not too close: there was a big Glasgow / Liverpool "friendly" held there on our last night, and we could barely hear it. Overall, we were very pleased, and I'd visit again, especially if I can bring my wife and leave my daughters on the next trip.

I am happy, out going, enjoys life with family and friends. I love adventure and excitement. I work from my studio as an Accessory Designer. I love music, art, nature. Food French, Italian, Indian cuisine and a great sandwich with cheese and coleslaw, a bag of Tayto or King crisps either salt and vinegar or cheese and onion! But have mouth rinse if you plan on kissing afterwards.... Music anything from Pink Floyd, Daft Punk, Bob Marley, and lots more, My idea of having a guest in my home, is a special time for those that choose to come and stay. I believe in honesty so all of trust is put in to the persons to respect the Apartment and people in the building. The energy is peaceful within the apartment, the building is quiet only 3 floors. Great neighbours! I would like them to enjoy my home and feel at home, and hope they enjoy their stay here also. I enjoy travelling by car, in particular when I am in France my lovely friend has a beautiful 1800 Volvo 1966, so that is style, flying, trains, buses everything has a bonus when you know your travelling to somewhere, locomotion is brilliant in all forms. Plus I enjoy cycling. Any information on what they would like to do whilst here in Dublin, I would be happy to provide. it is always exciting when someone new is coming to town and hear what they want to do! I love Il de Re, Paris.New York, Ireland, Italy and Thailand. Whilst there are many more places still to travel to. I am currently learning French.
