Beautiful 2 room suite with private entrance, living room, bedroom and bathroom. Large, bright and airy living room has comfortable sofa for sleeping.
Bedroom has queen sized bed with new pillow top mattress and high quality linens and towels. Two large ceiling fans and lots of cross ventilation keep the rooms very cool for sleeping in the summer and a new heater keeps it cozy in the winter. The two rooms can be separated by pulling the heavy curtain closed. approx. 500 sq. feet
Big, tiled walk in shower.

Partial Kitchen. French press coffee maker, kettle, microwave and mini fridge. There is a nice bottle of red wine and tidbits to welcome you. Refrigerator stocked with assorted drinks, waters, homemade granola and whatever my daughter decides to bake, yogurts, milk and orange juice. Optional meals on request. High speed wifi, flat screen TV with cable..

A retreat in the middle of Historic Hollywood Heights. Italian, bohemian flair in a residential old Hollywood neighborhood. Serene and private upper backyard and can sometimes hear music from the bowl and watch fireworks from the sofa.
Street parking is usually available. I also have a long driveway that can accommodate several cars.

I have lived in LA for 35 years working in the movie business as an location scout art director, and decorator. I know the city very well and can direct you to almost anything you want. Great restaurants, interesting ethnic neighborhoods, galleries and museums, interesting hikes, and all kinds of shopping opportunities.

I am looking forward to hosting and making your stay as wonderful and comfortable as possible.

  • Had an amazing stay at Linda's apartment. Awesome location super close to Hollywood Bowl, Hollywood Blvd, restaurants, and shopping. Linda is so sweet and such a great host. So helpful with suggestions for restaurants, art galleries, museums in the area. There is also a binder in the apartment that had a ton of suggestions for dining! Linda also came to check up on us to see if we needed anything too! Apartment was impeccable and had such a cozy bed. She had yummy banana bread and other snacks/beverages upon arrival. Felt like home and can't wait to go back! So nice to have met you Linda!

  • Linda's place is beautiful, charming and tranquil. She bestows it with good vibes and delicious banana bread. The studio has great light and my partner and I loved spending time there. Linda is a great host. Very easy going. Hope we get a chance to go back

    Response from Linda:

Thanks, Glen. It was a pleasure having you.

  • As other reviewers noted, Linda is a very kind host. She was quick to respond to my questions prior to arrival and seemed intent on making our stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible. We found the place to be in a great location, within walking distance to Hollywood & Highland, the Hollywood Bowl, and even Runyon Canyon (popular hiking trail). Street parking was hit or miss, but Linda said we could take a spot in the driveway whenever we needed. That came in handy a few times.

The unit is charming with lots of natural light. We found it to be in pretty good shape. The linens were clean and crisp, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was nice. The unit does have AC but Linda preferred we cool off the place by opening the windows and keeping the fans on. The fans were sufficient after sundown, but mid-day, even with most of the windows open and the fans on full blast, the place got steamy. We expressed an interest in turning on the AC to Linda but she told us to open more windows. We let it go, but if you like a cooler environment, you may need to insist.

We did notice the outside patio furniture was a bit dirty and in need of a good spray down. Not in the best shape for the outdoor meal we hoped to have. But we were so busy it wasn't a big deal to us.

Overall I enjoyed my experience and thought Linda was very sweet. She provided drinks and snacks in the room and even gave us fresh baked banana bread upon meeting her the first night. We really appreciated that. Thanks Linda!

    Response from Linda:

The air conditioning is problematic because the large upper windows (which are to high to easily open and close) stay open during the summer. Opening all the windows would have cooled down the room quickly. Sorry about the patio. I would have cleaned it if I knew you were planning a meal.

  • Linda runs an excellent place, a charming garden and a picturesque area and very very close to the central area around Hollywood Bowl or Graumans Chinese Theatre etc. Linda looks after people beautifully; a bottle of wine , a cake and some food as gifts on arrival. Very private and quiet. The negatives are (as she mentions) no kitchen and a very steep driveway for parking which is great for the parking but difficult to navigate going down. Also when we were there her wi fi was very very slow, but perhaps just a bad few days for it. The light in the morning makes it difficult for person sleeping on the lounge. Ideal place, however, for a couple.

    Response from Linda:

Usually the wifi is good. My cable co was experiencing difficulties during your stay and I'm sorry for that. Most people find the living room very comfortable and find the filtered light soothing. I appreciate your thoughtful feedback.

  • Linda was a great host. I loved the beautiful studio and all the little things Linda provided to make the stay above and beyond what I expected. She kept the mini-fridge stocked with some essentials (love the BabyBell cheese!), milk, granola, yogurt, and even a lovely bottle of wine. The bed was very comfortable and I couldn't have asked for better weather. Linda's suite was ideally located for walking to the James Taylor concert at the Hollywood Bowl. I would definitely return! Thank you Linda!

  • I can't even begin to describe how perfect this place is!! I stayed here with my mother to celebrate my birthday & it exceeded all expectations!! It is so cozy and comfortable. Very clean and eclectic style, which I loved! We were welcomed with a bottle of wine as well as yummy treats in the frig (granola, juice, soda, water, banana bread, yogurt). Towels, lotions, body care & hair products were also provided. I had the pleasure of meeting Linda and her daughter Olivia who are both so delightful & made sure that we had everything that we needed. They even extended our checkout time since we had a later flight! They are both just so incredibly kind and welcoming! This place was an oasis for me - the beautiful garden & the hammock were perfect! There was such a calm feeling being able to fall asleep to the sound of the fountain right outside the window. The studio is in a great location! Safe neighborhood with beautiful homes to look at if you're going for a walk around the block. Short walk to restaurants and Hollywood blvd. For other places to visit, we used Uber transportation which was excellent. It is super close to the Hollywood Bowl & Universal Studios if you are planning to visit there. The metro stop is a quick 5 minute (or less) walk. We also went to Disneyland & used the Lux Bus company for $45 round trip! Stop hesitating, book this place right now! You won't be disappointed!! Whenever I'm back in LA, I will definitely be staying here! Thank you Linda and Olivia for making my birthday week one to remember!!

  • Linda is a wonderful host who spoils her guests. The suite is warm, inviting, beautifully designed and well located. We were welcomed with thoughtful snacks and beverages in our mini fridge and an amiable host. Our stay wasn't long enough to truly appreciate all the gems of this fantastic location. We will be back!

  • We had a lovely stay in Linda her suite. The location is great, next to the Hollywood blv and the studios are one metrostop away.
Linda was very nice and we felt like home!
Thank you Linda, Thom and Zjosan

  • Linda's studio is an oasis in LA. The location is amazing - just a short walk from the Chinese Theatre and Hollywood walk of Fame. But sitting on the pretty patio (full of all of Linda's creative touches) you feel a million miles away from the bustle of the city. Linda was a perfect host - the granola, banana bread and other provisions were brilliant for us arriving in late after a long flight with no time to shop. We enjoyed getting to know her during our time there. If we are back in LA again, this is definitely where we'll hope to stay.

Production Designer, Painter
I have been living in Hollywood for 35 years. Most of those years I have spent working in the film business as a production designer. and set decorator, often times doing location scouting. I have currently gotten back into doing my own artwork, which is wonderful for me. I'm working toward a one woman show in LA. I love traveling. I am pretty adventurous. We usually spend summers in Italy (the same place for 10 years) where I have found an artist and "foodie" community. I have traveled to India (several times), Malaysia, Australia, Turkey, Russia and all around the US and Europe. I am a cook and enjoy having dinner parties.. I love the choice of ethnic restaurants in LA and can direct you anywhere you might want to go. I have a passion for decorating color and off beat style. I am thrilled to have become an airbnb host. I love meeting people, several that have become friends.
