Other Things to Note
This property feels very private even though it is in a neighborhood.
This was the third place my husband and I stayed in while we were living in Waimea. We've met Barrie previously, having stayed at one of her other listings. She is friendly, respectful and very prompt with her communication. We were greeted the day we checked in and found the place clean and well stocked. I adore Barries pets which visit on occasion. The flow of the studio is nice and circular with a divider for privacy. There is lots of natural light. There was no oven or microwave but we did have a little toaster oven. It forced us to eat healthier. The listing is accurate in terms of location and access to local shops and restaurants. It is located in a very nice neighborhood, a short walk away from some amazing views of the sunset. The only downside was that it felt cold often on cloudy days and there is a dehumidifier? which we chose not to use because it is very loud which led to some of our things getting moldy near the window and you can easily tell when someone is moving around upstairs or when the dog is excited. Aside from that I quickly got use to some of the things that I found unusual, the height of the bed and all of the kitchen cabinets were low access. We had a very positive experience overall. I found the bed to be high enough to store several luggages beneath it. Having lived near the outskirts of Waimea I was relieved to find that the pests invasions are minimal in contrast.
Actually stayed in Hibiscus Suite instead, but Waimea is a great town and I recommend renting from Barrie Rose who is very kind and helpful! The place was well equipped and so nicely decorated, a pleasure to stay in!

About the Host, Barrie
I have lived on the Big Island of Hawaii for 35 years and have chosen the best place on the island to live and offer accommodations to travelers. I can offer you insights on where to go and what is important to see while here on the island. An entrepreneur I have MANY interests from sustainability, to designing and decorating homes, gardening, and healthy living in general. My 2 daughters were born here on the Big Island where they love to return and bring all of their friends to share their most favorite beaches and adventures. As a realtor I know the different micro-climates & communities of the island extremely well and should you have an interest in re-locating to this island I would be happy to assist. I couldn't possibly live without clean air, pure water, sunshine and great community! When I go "holo holo" for a few days I choose either Volcano or Kapoho as my favorite little get-away places on the island.
