It was our second stay and we enjoyed it as much as the first. Emily is an extremely gracious property owner and her property is a joy to stay in!
The house was absolutely perfect. We had lots of space and all the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was really nice, especially the Viking range! All of us really enjoyed our stay at the house and the surrounding setting was really beautiful in the snow. The location was only minutes away from down town State College as well as the stadium and conference center. I would absolutely stay here again.
Stayed on short notice with family (three couples plus a child). Had nice one-night stay, nice kitchen for cooking, working fireplace, comfortable beds. Feels like lived-in house, not antiseptic motel. Horses next door may stare at you over the fence. Beautiful barn down the road, and historic Boalsburg.
We booked Emily's property for the weekend for a family get together to see my daughter in a show at Penn State. We had a wide range of ages from late 70's to teens. It was perfect for the weekend. We were able to accomodate everyone, cook breakfast and lunches as necessary and it was a quick trip on 322 to the campus. There is a grocery store not too far on Atherton. The property was clean, comfortable, eclectically decorated and so convenient. The water baseboard heat is noisy, so if you are sensitive to noises while sleeping, you might want to bring some ear plugs. We would definitely recommend this property to others and if we ever have the opportunity, we'd stay there again.
WOW! What a great time we had with our grandchildren at Emily's.
Everything was just as shown in the photos but Honey, the horse next door, was the frosting on the cake! The kids loved all of the space and I loved cooking everyone's favorite dish. The location is perfect and easy to navigate. The country feel was wonderful and a full moon that shown into our bedroom nightly made our stay perfect. We would recommend Emily's to everyone!!!!!
The photos do not do this home justice. We had a large group in town for the PSU homecoming game and we were all very impressed with the accommodations. The general consensus was, "let's make sure we get this house next year"!
The place was great, clean and as advertised. Perfect location for visiting our son at PSU. Emily was great about communication. The only thing I would recommend is looking into either newer or more comfortable mattresses. We were not impressed with those. But it was only one night and again, everything else was perfect. Thanks!
This place is exactly as advertised. We stayed for 2 months and while we were of course anxious to get into our own house, we were happy to have a comfortable place to call our temporary home. Emily was understanding and responsive throughout our stay. Its a great location as it provides an opportunity to become familiar with the Lemont / Boalsburg area (which have a great cafe and the best pub in the area, respectively) while still being close to State College.
A spacious cozy house in convenience to everything. A fabulous kitchen that we enjoyed cooking in, as we had the view of the horses next door. Such a glorious place, and Emily was always available and helpful with any question that we had! Our stay was wonderful, and I highly recommend it to anyone that might be staying in the area.
Thanks again, Emily:)
