A comfortable room with a beautiful view. Why would anyone want to stay at a hotel when a place like this is available. We had a comfortable stay. Public transport is at walkable distance and the shops too. Manuel and his lovely wife Teresa are wonderful hosts. I would recommend there home anytime. Thank you Manuel and Teresa.

Manuel and his family were very friendly and accommodating. My flight was delayed and I had him waiting at the airport for more than an hour, but he did not complain at all. We also requested for some additional stuff, and they provided them immediately. His rooms are really one of the best in Porto.

The room is large and comfortable, and the bed is good. The walking distance to the city is about 30 minutes, to the metro ten minutes. When you know that beforehand it is fine. Manuel tends to exaggerate a bit however, in his description of the room. The beautiful view of the river and the Atlantic (in the far distance) is from his private living room (where we did get to look out once), NOT from the room, the "low-cost breakfast" corresponds to the price, nothing more (the "homemade jams" were one little pot of jam, and the "excellent cooking" was restricted to a bit of scrambled eggs). But of course it is comfortable to be able to eat in the accomodation, it saves time, and there were no nice cafes in the area. The breakfast was not spectacular or particularly ample, but satisfactory (simple soft white bread, sliced cheese, boiled ham, jam, scrambled eggs, sliced Apple and orange, juice, coffee). We got our croissants and pastries elsewhere. Despite his announcement, Manuel was not there in the morning to give us tips on Porto . There was actually no contact after checking in (we stayed for two days), not even as we wanted to book an extra night for our son, which was disappointing.

The room was comfortable, clean and private and had everything we needed. Manuel gave us good ideas for our Portugal roadtrip and his wife was very friendly.

Manuel was very helpful to give us all the details. Very good option if you want to live a little away from the hustle bustle of Porto and yet be in close proximity of all the action!

Everything was perfect, Manuel was very welcoming, we were also very late and arrived in the middle of the night, but it did not change Manuel great attitude to us! Highly recommend!
