Interaction with Guests
I am here normally to greet you and tell you about the neighbourhood. After that its up to you. Some people like to chat, some get up and go. Some people have a drink with me. I wont be intrusive but if you are interested and you want me to show you the neighbourhood or make recommendations I will.
My dog always interacts she loves people.
I do work from home mostly using the sitting room as my office (I have two other reception rooms). If I am in there with the door shut using a computer please don't assume I am free to talk to you.

I walk the dog around the neighbourhood if you want to walk you around and tell you a little bit about the architecture happy to.
There are loads of buses to and from Rathmines and the luas is a ten minute walk. There is no direct bus from the airport, take a cab or get a bus and the 14 or 15 or 140 from Trinity college (Nassau Street). The 18 from Castlewood Avenue will bring you to Ballsbridge and Sandymount or Palmerston.
From Harolds Cross (15 minutes walk away) you can get a 16 to the airport.
Buses only take exact change and do not give change or take notes. I recommend buying a Leap card in Mini Mart on the Rathmines road lower opposite Lidl.

My sister and I ventured to Dublin for the St. Patrick's day festivities, and we're so lucky to have stayed with Margaret at her enchanting home in the neighborhood of Rathmines.
Only a short bus ride into the city center (or if you enjoy walking you most certainly can! We did it many times and takes only 20-30 minutes) and in a safe and quiet part of Dublin, Margaret's estate is the ideal place to call home for your Dublin stay.
Our room was exactly as pictured on the website - warm, inviting, and spacious. The bed was comfortable and was equipped with a heated blanket as it was quite chilly in March.
Each morning we would wake up to a table set with a continental breakfast, and ate peacefully and comfortably in her grand dinning room. If we were lucky, Margaret would join us for breakfast and be the most incredible help to our daily plans.
Margaret is kind, eager to help, extremely knowledgeable, and we are proud to say like family now. If ever we are to travel back to Dublin, there is no doubt we will be staying with Margaret at her charming estate.
Also, her dog is the sweetest!
Margaret is a wonderful host with charming character. She welcomed me and took the time to introduce me to the neighborhood.
The house is classic period; nicely decorated with ad-hoc antique furniture. The bedroom is very large and quiet.
Her house is located in the heart of Rahtmines next to restaurants, cinemas and various facilities.
A must when visiting Dublin !
Margaret's house is a great place to stay. Perfect for seeing Dublin. The room is so comfy I felt completely welcome and comfortable. A real home from home experience.
I spent three nights in Margaret's place and everything was very good. The entire house has a nice feeling and the room was big and well presented. I really enjoyed the time and if I will be back in Dublin, I will contact Margaret again.
I had a wonderful time in Dublin and Margaret made me feel very welcome in her lovely home. She offered me breakfast and tea each morning and gave me lots of helpful hints and tips throughout my stay. I also enjoyed meeting her dog who was extremely friendly! Margaret's home was very close to the town centre, shops and cafes and was well connected to the city's public transport. I would definitely recommend staying here.
I had a great time staying at Margaret's. She was extremely helpful with anything I asked for. My bedroom was a gorgeous spacious room & the bed very comfortable. I had a great rest there, which was much needed. The house is fab, very characterful and quirky. Would thoroughly recommend!
