A modern open space artist's loft renovated in the early 2013.
Great location, just in the middle of the new trendy Pigneto district just 10 minutes from Termini station. The apartment is an independent house built in 1930 , on 2 levels with a cute little garden. The main floor is a big open space with a living area and a kitchen. At the first floor there is a comfortable bedroom with a large wardrobe and bathroom.
The apartment can accommodate comfortably 2 persons.
Pigneto is a picturesque and trendy district near Porta Maggiore and the Santa Croce in Gerulasemme Cathedral, well connected by tram (3 frequent lines) and bus (2 lines) to connect the district with historical center. This area offers one of the best night life in Rome. Close to the flat there are any kind of bar and restaurants and a borough market

We had a great time staying here! The loft is great and has everything you could need. Communication from Sara was very friendly and we always had prompt replies. On the day we checked in we were almost two hours early and despite offering to get lunch nearby and wait since it was really our 'fault' Sara's husband came to check us in within ten minutes and was very friendly and knowledgable about the local area and gave us all the information we needed. We were very kindly left some welcome gifts from a local bakery which were delicious and some basic food items like tomatoes, pasta, water, jam and butter - everything you need to cook was provided including sat, sugar, olive oil etc, but we ate out most of the time. It was great to have these options however! There is also a moka pot and some coffee provided which went down a treat.
We did not get to meet Sara because we had an early morning checkout but every time we spoke to her she was so helpful and even offered to bring us extra blankets for the bed when the temperature dropped - being used to the cold English weather we didn't need to take her up on this offer but it was very thoughtful of her to text and offer.
The area of Pigneto is well connected and despite not being in the centre was exactly what we wanted - real life in Rome - where you could experience the glossy centre and then see how the locals live. The area has some amazing restaurants, food markets and bars and a very cool feel, similar to East London, the Northern Quarter in Manchester or Brooklyn. If you like these places and are looking for an authentic experience in a creative trendy area you will love Pigneto and Sara's flat.
Although the area is connected by tram and bus which are very cheap, we like walking and some days chose to go to the city centre on foot, which took around 45-50 minutes at a normal pace for those wondering. We also used the public transport with no issues at all. We are already missing the amazing coffee, the creative air of Pigneto and this fantastic loft - highly recommended!
The apartment was good but for us, too far from centre. It is a quiet area with small restaurant but as we always walk in the city we visit, the distance and some sectors that we need to go over, were not interesting.
Even if it doesn't reach our expectations, I recommend the place
The apartment just fantastic! Even better than on pictures, very light, cosy, comfortable and done with good taste. Location is also very good, not in the centre but very close to everything. A lot of small cafes and restaurants around, small supermarket just 5 min walk where you can buy food and drinks. The owner Sara is lovely women and very hospitable, she organized food and champagne when we arrived, map with advises where and how to go, recommended good restaurants. We had fantastic time in Rome and if we come back we'll stay at Sara's apartment again!
We had wonderful holidays in Rome and we just loved Sara's loft in Pigneto. Spaces are clean and hospitable. The place is not so distant from the centre of Rome, above all because there are many public vehicles (especially buses) to reach every main place of the capital. Pigneto is (email hidden)ly quarter, full of cool restaurant, picturesque café and lovely cocktail cabinet. Sara is a great house-owner, polite, courteous and friendly. Her home is also wonderful for the design furnishing and modern architecture. We just loved our time in Sara's loft!!!
Very nice apartment, very cosy, we were feel like home. Perfect location in Pignetto area makes feel you are Roman, not tourist. Sara is caring host, she helped us with everything: late check in and early check out wasn't problem, she gave us map of places to eat (it was really useful for us) nearly with apartment, etc. Highly recommended Sara and her beautiful apartment!
Sara's apartment is absolutely amazing. The light coming down from the two skylights permeates the whole place. It is modern, clean and utterly charming all at the same time. Everything works well, including the A/C which is important for Rome in the summer. The apartment stays quite cool by itself too. Sara is also an amazing host. She really cares that you have a true Roman experience and make the most out of being in the great neighborhood of Pigneto. I felt welcomed as if we were old friends, and my trip was certainly better because of her suggestions and generosity. I couldn't recommend this apartment more highly!
Great spacious apartment in an amazing neighborhood of Rome with some brilliant traditional local eats close by including the legendary Betto & Mary and Il Porchetto.
