The room was comfortable, clean and warm. It was nice to meet two Hosts from Iceland and to gain some insight into their lives as the rest of the time we were in hostels. Ask Eyglo how she is and she says good always good and she is. She has a good sense of humour and is helpful. She provides dinner and the food was excellent with more than ample portions. Eyglo also had A choice of typical Icelandic meals on the menu. The house is situated in a very picturesque peninsula and not far from Akureyri. In the opposite direction is Dalvik where there is a very nice cafe/restaurant and at Siglufjordur there is an excellent museum about the herring industry. It is within striking distance of Myvatn and Husavik. We really enjoyed visiting the north of Iceland.
We loved our stay here, so peaceful and a beautiful setting with a sense of true Iceland surrounding you. Yet, not far from the amenities of a city +/- 15 min down the road. We would love to return! Property was clean, WiFi fast, and food was tasty. Recommended to anyone on their way to North Iceland!
Sehr schöne Gegend! Gute Wegbeschreibung ! Netter Gastgeber! Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt ! Alles sauber! Leckeres Essen! Beim nächsten mal gern wieder! Danke! Gruß Mario TOP *****
Eygló was a very gracious host even though we arrived somewhat late. The accommodations were cozy and the surrounding area was truly idyllic; too bad our itinerary didn't allow for a longer stay. Eygló´s breakfast was scrumptious and her homemade jams and breads were super. We also enjoyed talking with her work-away student, Dice (sp??), who gave us several suggestions on places, i.e. Hverfjall volcano (which we did), to see.

About the Host, Eygló
I have lived in the area almost all my life, so I can provide you with a lot of insider information. 15 years ago my husband and I quit farming. I have studied Natural Healing and Aromatherapie. My Healingroom is here on the Farm, so if you feel like it, you can book a treatment.
I speak Icelandic and English, my English writing is not so good yet, so please excuse.
