We are 2 min. walking distance from main shopping street (Kıbrıs Şehitleri Caddesi) in Alsancak and 5 min. from seaside (Kordon). Our house is situated in a very lively neighbourhood at the heart of the city; very close to bar streets, nice fish restaurants, cafes and supermarket. We can also give you tips about where to eat good and cheap food. Every Sunday there is local market close to our street where you can buy fresh fruits, vegetables, fish and delicious cheese directly from local producers. It is very easy to access to public transportation; just 5 minutes from bus station, 10 minutes from Alsancak ferry port and 5 minutes walking distance to Alsancak train station and IZBAN subway station which you can reach the Airport within 40 minutes.
We are a young couple at the age of 30. We speak fluent English and German. We are living at the upest story and most of the time at least one of us will be around, so you can ask if you need something.

We wish you a pleasant stay and enjoy Izmir :)
Ezgi was a great host with a great place.
Thank you :)
Ezgi's beautiful flat comes with five big stars! The place is beautifully put together and is a great location. Feel comfortable to eat at any of the restaurants on this road… they are all good. And I was especially pleased with how quiet it was even though it is in the middle of the city! Definitely stay here if you have the opportunity. A great Airbnb experience. Thanks Ezgi!
Ezgi's place is wonderful. The remodeled Greek-style home in the Alsancak neighborhood is beautiful, spotlessly clean, and in a great location. It is walking distance from the water, numerous public transportation options and just a block away from a lively pedestrian mall. Not to mention right around the corner from an excellent bakery.
Ezgi is an excellent host. She helped us get oriented to Izmir and made sure we were comfortable during our stay. She even shared herbal tea with us when I came down with a but of a head cold. I highly recommend staying with Ezgi if your travel plans take you to Izmir!
We very much enjoyed our stay at Ezgi’s home. The location is perfect for sightseeing, close to the sea promenade and shopping areas, but away from hustle and bustle of the main street. The house itself has a lot of character and you will be able to see and experience the life of old times in Smyrna.
The room offered has everything you need, including a modern heater, which is not common for old houses. The bed simply is heaven, and has been selected by Ezgi from a professional hotel supplier, to make sure her guest enjoy a good sleep.
Ezgi and her husband Emanuel go beyond what you would expect from a host. They take you into their home and family, trying to help and accommodate your questions and wishes. As we only had 2 days in Izmir, Ezgi planned for us a “top-sites” itinerary for Izmir and outlined it on a map. At the end of the day we have been very tired, but have seen everything and did make the best of our time in Izmir. We really enjoyed our time with them: our chats in the kitchen, the market visit, the great restaurant recommendation and the wonderful house.
Ezgi & Emanuel , we hope to see you soon again–maybe in Izmir or you come and visit us in Munich!
I love the greek house, it has a very interesting character itself. The house was situated in a perfect location, just minutes away from subway station, seaside and the little taksim street that made it easier for me to get around Izmir. A lot of restaurants around too. Ezgi was a very amazing host, she ensured that I got everything I needed during my stay. She helped me with my itinerary in Izmir, which made my travel easier. I would stay at Ezgi again. Thanks for the wonderful experience!
Ezgi and her husband Emmanuel are fantastic! I have been to Izmir many times and this was undoubtedly my favorite visit, due mostly to their hospitality and hilarious company. We had some great nights out and lots of laughs and stories. I look forward to seeing them again as soon as possible!
The house is really beautiful and confortable, in a great neighborhood. Living in this old house for a few days was a great historic experience :). I enjoyed my stay at Ezgi very much. Both her and her husband were so nice, always helpful. They gave us great advices, and we couldn't have had such a great trip without their help. I definetely recommend this place!
