Relax by the private pool and enjoy this mid-century oasis located near the fabulous Palm Springs Uptown Design district-but really there's no need to leave the house.
This classic Alexander is renovated and updated for a modern lifestyle with reverence for Bill Krisel's original design. We call our style "earthy modern" with influence from Charles and Ray Eames California residence, and a Scandinavian-inspired palate of pale neutrals and wood textures. The kitchen features Heath tile, Terrazzo counter tops, and mountain views. An infrared gas grill is ready for your poolside BBQ. Enjoy meals from the vintage Cherner dining chairs with walls of glass overlooking the sparkling pool. The open floorplan lounge room provides relaxed viewing of the 46" LCD TV with HD satellite package. There's comfy beds in all three bedrooms with memory foam mattresses, cotton and Marimekko bedding. The master has a king and it's own bath, the middle bedroom a queen, and the third has two twins both with a shared main bath. The main bathroom is spa style with Heath tile, Terrazzo floors and custom built cabinetry made to emulate the original design. Refinished concrete floors run throughout. If you choose to heat the pool, it will be warmed for your arrival. Free WiFi is provided. Come enjoy the historic Racquet Club Estates neighborhood located near the Uptown Design District shops and restaurants. The City of Palm Springs requires a written rental agreement prior to occupancy.
The pool is private and you may even find some pool toys in the garage.

The historic Racquet Club Estates was built by the Alexander construction company and designed by architect William Krisel. It's fun to take a walk and look at the architecture and there is even a nice park one block over. The former library across the street from it is the holiday residence of cult actor Udo Kier.
The free shuttle, the Palm Springs "Buzz" runs from the Riviera Hotel which is about a 15 minute walk but it's a less than 15 minute drive to get anywhere around town.

We had a great time staying in this house. Three ample bedrooms and two bathrooms was great for two couples and two teenagers. The living room, kitchen and outdoor areas were terrific for relaxing and the spaces worked well. The house was clean, tidy and just as the photographs depicted. The pool is large and was warm. Joann's mid-century Palm Springs house is nestled in a quiet neighbourhood among lots of other really interesting houses with architectural merit. It made a great base for our stay. We would definitely recommend Joann's house and would love to return again.
My friends and I really enjoyed this property. The home looks just like the pictures; beautiful and modern. We love the outdoor area; the pool was large and the yard was nicely landscaped. The tall trees made it seem private from the surrounding homes.
We loved that Joann gave us our privacy during our stay. When I needed anything I just had to email or call her and she was quick to answer. I like that Joann made the lockbox easy and accessible because our flight landed at 1:00am and we didn't have to worry about getting into the property without her.
My only complaint was the showers for both bathrooms were very weak; the water pressure wasn't strong.
All in all we really loved staying here and would consider it again whenever we're in the Palm Springs area.
The place was great and Joann was very communicative and easy to reach if we had any questions or requests.
We had a wonderful time in Joann's mid-century modern home. The home appeared exactly as described, it was very clean, and most importantly to my kids, the pool was very well heated upon our arrival. The neighborhood is very quiet, aside from occasional plane noise, but my kids loved watching the planes fly by. The location is excellent, very close to restaurants, activities, etc.
We truly enjoyed our time in Palm Springs, and we have Joann to thank for providing a great home for myself and my family. Thanks very much, and we'll be back!
The house was amazing! Joann was very helpful and quick to reply. It was a very nice location, close to all key places in Palm Springs but still quiet & relaxing. The interior was modern and looks exactly like the pictures and then some! The pool was relaxing and the backyard was soo nice and well maintained. Overall the property is very clean. The bedrooms are spacious and comfy. There is soo much natural light in the house it gives it a cheerful feeling. The kitchen is well stocked and spacious. We enjoyed our time and most definitely will want to stay here again, I highly recommend this home if you are visiting Palm Springs! Thank you Joann for all your help and you have a great home!
Generally all was well. House clean, convenient for our purposes, beds comfortable, plenty of room.
Only complaints were the technological hurdles associated with heat/ac unit and TV.
This is a great mid century style house that is perfect for Palm Springs. The decorations were all true to the period and the photos were accurate. Joann provided clear instructions on how to get to the house and how everything worked. We were a group of four plus a small dog and everyone was very comfortable. If you are going to Palm Springs this is great place to stay.

I live in Los Angeles but spend as much time as I can escaping to the desert. It satisfies my interest in architecture and design as well as my appreciation for a good book and a poolside chaise longue.
