  • WOW. Just..wow. Karim's house could not be more convenient or fun to stay at. First, it is beautiful and quite large for NYC. A large bedroom for a couple, another nice bedroom for a child/guest, a large living room and great kitchen with a comfy eating area. The whole house is very modern, safe, and extremely well-maintained and has everything you could want.

The "C" train, "G" train, and a Citibike station(!) are just one and 1/2 blocks away and the neighborhood is safe with tons of great food, groceries, anything you could want. There are many delicious restaurants that will deliver right to your door anytime :) Manhattan is just 15-20 minutes away by subway. I was reluctant to park on the street (NY experiences 20 years ago) but did so happily here, where there is plenty of parking all over. For the paranoid, a parking garage is just a couple blocks away.

Karim's communication before, during, and after was outstanding. It was very easy to coordinate with him to "check in," he left/emailed thorough directions for everything, and was easy to contact when we had a question. He was polite, enthusiastic, and easy to work with.

Sometimes I've stayed at other places and the apartments/houses have just been someone's house that they vacate for the weekend; the whole time you feel like you are staying at someone else's (sometimes dirty) apartment. NOT HERE - Karim keeps his place immaculate and tailored for visitors, with plenty of space and anything a guest could want.

As a rule, I try to stay at different places every time I visit but I think Karim might make me break my rule! I can't wait to come back. We had a wonderful time and this was by far the best place I've ever stayed in NYC.

  • Karim's home was a great refuge for my family during our week in New York. The place is warm and cozy with a wonderful back patio perfect for eating meals and enjoying the spring weather. The master bedroom was comfortable and quiet for us, and our six-month-old slept well in the sunny front bedroom using the portable crib we brought along. Karim was a pleasant and helpful host who was always prompt in replying to any queries. The neighborhood is convenient to Brooklyn amenities (playgrounds, museums, libraries and parks) and public transport into Manhattan. We will definitely keep this place in mind for future New York visits.

  • Very nice house . well located in Brooklyn, and easily accessible to Manhattan. Relaxed and comfortable and easy to feel at home !

  • The apt was clean, spacious, comfortable, stylishly furnished with beautiful rugs. The beds were comfortable. The second bed, a twin when closed, opened to a full size mattress but you had to get down on the floor. Altho we didn't use the deck, the view out the back was leafy and pleasant. Parking was easy---a big plus in NYC. The kitchen was well equipped ( altho I never found a toaster/toaster oven) and stocked w staples,. A few minor things I would have appreciated: more towels, a coat rack or somewhere to hang outerwear, a full length mirror. We were going to our daughter's wedding and it was frustrating not to be able to see ourselves in our fancy duds to be sure we had it all together. The basement had a the latest washer - dryer set up. And there was an iron and small ironing board. A great French pastry -coffee shop was only a short walk away, plus some wonderful restaurants.
