About this listing
The flat is in a build of 1400. I like all the old architectural elements and the ambiance.
I like San Gallo street: bakery, greengrocer, dairy, winery, laundrette, restaurant "Tito"(!!!) and Vegan , pizzeria "Pulcinella" are all downstairs.
It is a cute and cozy apartment located in the centre of Florence, on the first floor of an ancient building with wooden ceiling and parquet flooring.
There are two bedrooms with two beds each, and windows facing private couryeards. Two bathrooms, a very bright living room with a sofa bed and a dining table perfect for enjoying italian cuisine and sipping on Chianti wine! The kitchen is equipped with oven, fridge, microwave, kettle and for those who don't like espressos there is an american coffee maker as well!
Wi fi is also available along with air conditioning and a wonderful piano!
The apartment is in a very quiet area of the city but with plenty of restaurants (vegan and vegetarian too as well as more traditional tuscan ones) and a very close supermarket. You will be 5 minutes away from the Duomo, San Marco square (with Galleria dell' Accademia and the David of Michelangelo) from where you can get on the main bus lines. If you are to come by car there is a parking 5 minutes away by foot.
A very special home in the very heart of Florence!
The only rule to follow is to take care of it! The house is very accurate to detail and above all full of books! I used to live in this house and I decided to leave something of me! Hope you enjoy it and have fun!
You'll have the place entirely to yourself so make yourself at home!
Agese's dad Sergio and sister took very good care of us and it was so great staying at their warm apartments. Love the city, and this Airbnb which feels like home.
Our stay was so wonderful. Agnese and Sergio were the greatest hosts- helpful, accommodating. Their place was immaculate and the location was lovely. It was a great experience staying there and I would again without question.
Bellissimo appartamento a 5 minuti a piedi dal Duomo di Firenze.. confortevole e ben arredato. Non si può chiedere di meglio.
Grazie Sergio e Agnese!!!!
We didn't get the chance to meet Agnese, but she communicated prior to our arrival, and even made sure to leave a note at her apartment door that her sister, Bea, would be meeting us instead.
Bea is the perfect host! She assisted us with our luggage and offered refreshments upon our arrival. The Paderis provided us with everything we could possibly need! There were fruits, nuts, snacks and wine on the table; milk, juice, and water in the fridge; as well as coffee, sugar, and several pastries in the pantry!
Both Agnese and Bea gave prompt responses and assistance to our queries and requests prior to, and throughout our stay. Bea even arranged for a taxi to pick us up from her apartment on our check-out date as we had to leave by 5:00 AM.
The apartment is very conveniently located, I felt that I couldn't have chosen any better! It is within walking distance from the market centrale, piazza San Lorenzo, Duomo, Accademia gallery museum, various leather shops, even Ponte Vecchio and piazza Santo Spirito where we had dinner and wine! One night during our stay, we even chanced upon Vogue night happening in the shopping district and we greatly enjoyed the street party vibe!
Bea very patiently showed us how to get around Firenze and recommended all the best spots to see as well as one of the best steak restaurants in town (which happened to be just below the apartment, only a skip and a hop away!) - very good food and super accommodating staff!
She also took the time to write down and email her restaurant recommendations plus directions to the outlet stores!
Her apartment is really very lovely and cozy, I felt so at home! It is very clean with tasteful interior decor and well-appointed with all the basic necessities. It smelled really nice too, thanks to the fragrance diffusers scattered throughout the apartment. Too bad I forgot to ask Bea where she got them from.
My only regret is that we didn't stay long enough to enjoy the apartment even more and to explore more of Florence. I would definitely consider staying with the Paderis again next time I visit.
Grazie, Agnese and Bea!
We had an amazing time in Florence thanks to Agnese and Sergio. He gave us a lot of good tips around where to eat and where to go to explore the city in the two short days we were there. We had one of the best meals at Tito, which is right next door to the apartment, and considered one of the best steak you can have in Florence! Florence was the middle stop between Rome and Venice for us, and we would definitely plan a longer stay next time, and will definitely stay at Agnese and Sergio's place if it is available! Great location and Great host!!
This is one of those all too rare occasions when the pictures on the web site actually under sell the reality ! The apartment is an oasis; spacious and beautifully proportioned and amazingly quiet given its central location. Everything a weary traveller could want has been anticipated - including great coffee and wine and fruit. Agnese and her father are fabulous hosts - responsive and full of information but not in any way intrusive. The location is perfect as everything is walkable - from the great monuments and architecture through to the necessities such as great food and wine. The apartment is hard to leave each day and a wonderful place to return for a siesta. We will be back !
My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Agnese's apartment. Just a stones throw from the city center and the attractions of Florence, it's a beautiful flat, in an ancient monastery with original frescos. She and her father Sergio were great hosts, very warm and welcoming, and accommodating our needs — even when it fell outside of their remit! Highly recommended, and we certainly will be staying again on our next visit!
