We had a fabulous stay at Marcello's -- his place is absolutely lovely -- it is a 200 year old farm house that has been beautifully restored 2 years ago. We had a nice comfortable room with a nice big bed and beautiful linens. The bathroom was immaculate, with a fabulous shower. The house is gorgeous, the setting is spectacular, and it is an easy and picturesque drive into Urbino. Marcello was a gracious host, and a lovely person, and at the end of our 2 night stay, we felt like old friends. We look forward to being back, and will recommend this place to everyone with no hesitation. Mille gazie Marcello, ci vediamo!
Marcello is a great host! The place is a little hard to find, but well worth the journey. Would love to go back.
We loved staying at the bed and breakfast of Marcello! It is really close to Urbino and the view and surroundings are both beautiful and peaceful. The room was very clean, big and comfortable and both the welcome drink and snack as the breakfast were lovely. A real must!
Wow, where to begin? If I could have stayed longer or could choose a place to revisit, I would love to be at Marcello's wonderful "sanctuary". At first, as you acclimate to your surroundings, you will be pleased by the beauty of the region (Marche is now my favorite region of Italy!) as well as the wonderful and tasteful interior design of the house. Definitely no IKEA here (how refreshing)! Then as you get to know Marcello and feel his kindness and generosity you begin to feel so grateful for having found this place in the middle of the mountains, surrounded by orchards and rolling hills. We were doubly relieved and satiated by his copious and delicious vegetarian dinners! What a pleasure to eat Marcello's food! He is a great cook and you can definitely taste his love! We definitely felt taken care of and we were able to rest well.
Marcello's home is close (12kilometers) to Urbino, a must see medieval city. There is also St Leo not too far either. However, it's key to have a GPS to find his place!
Thank you thank you and thank you again, Marcello! My parents and I will always remember you and think fondly of your beautiful soul. All the best and hope to see you again at your wonderful home!
Oh and your anti-stress oil really helped us during the rest of our travels! We felt very zen! But maybe that was because of your healing food and energy!
We only stayed one night at Marcello's place but had the most incredible experience and absolutely one of the highlights of our Italy trip. This was the first AirBnb place we stayed in Italy, and Marcello was a fantastic host - we had a very warm reception from him, and enjoyed communicating with our small Italian vocabulary and his better English! Marcello is a lovely man, and we were so impressed with the job he's done converting the property we stayed in - a lovely old building, but finished off to the very highest standard inside...it felt like staying in a 5 star hotel! We won't forget our stay here, and would highly recommend it to anyone. Urbino is lovely too - so if staying here, it's definitely worth a trip in.
We have stayed 5 nights at Marcello B & B, Capotorto. A quiet place, in the midle of nature, in a luxurious room and bathroom. Marcello does all struggling to make it comfortable for his guests. We enjoyed the delicious breakfasts in a casual atmosphere and the communal dinner that Marcello has prepared for its customers. The beautiful Urbino, 10 km away is easy to reach by car.
A perfect place to taste an original Italian experience rarely seen in other places of the country. Charming medieval house carefully simply decorated with gorgeous objects that make you feel at your home in Italy. The room it very very very confortable, all the common places of the house are incredibly cozy and welcoming. Surrounded by green, the house gives its guests the contact with nature, silence, relaxation and a spectacular view of medieval small cities and sunflower farms. At night, the sky filled with satellites and shooting stars is a particularly enchanting spectacle.
Capotorto is very well located, just a few minutes from Urbino, a gorgeous medieval city. It’s also very close to places like San Marino, Gubbio, Assisi, other fantastic places to visit. The Bologna – Ancona highway is just a a few miles away, and from there you can easily reach other fantastic places. The beautiful Adriatic beaches are just 30 minutes by car.
The stay in Capotorto gave me the opportunity to meet a very particular Italy, deeply connected with tradition, that provides you with outstanding food, experiences, sightseeing, emotions and one of a kind experience difficult to find in bigger places in Italy.
