We are a perfect spot for getting out and exploring by car, public transportation, foot, or bike. Our space is most commonly described as "comfortable, clean, and home-like" by our guests. We have 2 little ones so our home is perfect for families.
Come stay in our conveniently located 100 year old North Portland home. Our bright and sunny house is in the Historic Kenton Neighborhood, just a 10 minute drive from Downtown (we are right off I-5), and only 3 blocks from public transportation (MAX yellow line and bus). We are also walking distance from the Kenton Business district where there are shops, restaurants, bars and small seasonal farmers market.
We have a family home where we live with our two young children, and our big old dog (who will not be present when you stay). Previously, we have rented out a room in our house but are now renting the entire space while we travel. We have a fireplace to keep cozy in the winter and a front porch for relaxing in the summer.
Our home has 3 bedrooms and comfortably sleeps 5, although you could fit 7 in a pinch. 2 of the bedrooms have full size beds that each sleep 2. One bedroom has a crib and a single bed. We can also provide an air mattress and travel crib if they are needed Just let us know.
Guests will have access to all of the living space in the home. This includes our washer and drier, fully loaded kitchen, 3 bedrooms, and family spaces. If you require empty drawers to keep your things, let us know and we will provide some for you.
Interaction with Guests
We can be reached via phone, email, or text. We might be available to meet you upon your arrival or say goodby when you leave depending on your (and our) travel times.
Our neighborhood is very walkable. We love walking to the library, coffee shops, grocery store, bars, and restaurants. We also like to take public transportation from our place because it is only a few blocks away. There are lots of families and great people living in the neighborhood.
We live right off of the yellow light rail line and the 4 and 75 bus lines. We are also located right on a bike route. We are just a couple of minutes from I-5 and have off street parking available.
Other Things to Note
We are renting out our space while we are off on vacation so most of our personal items are still around the home. If you need space for storing things please let us know and we will provide some for you.
We are pretty easy going but do not allow smoking in our home, smoking outside on the porch is fine. Other than that, we just ask that you be a normal reasonable person and treat our space respectfully!
Allie and Jeff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was comfortable and clean, with a good reading light on the bedside table. I also had a desk and chair and another side table. Having my own bathroom next to my room was an unexpected plus. Little Otto was a ray of sunshine and amazingly verbal for his age.
Allie, Jeff, and Otto were very welcoming and we felt very comfortable and "at ease". The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet and it was very easy to access major roads and to return to this home away from home.
The room, bathroom, and the common areas of the home were pleasant, and we felt very relaxed with our hosts.
This AirBnB location met our needs in every way and we would be happy to stay here again and to recommend them to our friends and family.
My boyfriend and I stayed for three nights in this wonderful room. Allie and Jeff were very welcoming hosts and as the other reviews suggest, Otto, their baby son, is adorable and very well behaved. We brought down our bikes and had a great time touring around from this location. We highly recommend this place for a great time in Portland.
Had a great stay --Jeff and Allie are great people to stay with--great hospitality !! Highly recommended !! Thx
Allie and Jeff were very friendly and welcoming. They were super helpful
with suggestions on things to see and do. I felt at home with them immediately. The room was large and clean. The private bathroom
was a delight. Their son was a joy to see and interact with each day.
A fine location from which to explore Portland. The Max was only 3 short blocks away. Major roads were close too.
I would surely stay with them again.
Allie and Jeff were both very friendly, Otto was a little ham, and Cinder was an absolute sweetie. The bed and room were very comfortable, the bathroom was beautiful, and the whole house was impeccably clean. They clearly take pride in hosting! The surrounding area was very convenient as well, with access to plenty of walk and bikeways, as well as public transport. Lots of cafes and food all very close nearby!
Allie and Jeff's place is in a nice, quiet neighborhood close to public transit. Their neighborhood is safe and within walking distance to several fun restaurants and bars. Allie and Jeff were kind and the room and bathroom were obviously well-maintained - so clean and comfortable! There was a drawer full of maps and brochures that helped us plan our stay in Portland.
I live in Portland Oregon with my husband, our baby and our dog. I am originally from New York and moved across the country after meeting my husband in the U.S. Peace Corps while we were both volunteering and living in the Federated States of Micronesia.
We love traveling, doing things outdoors and are pretty laid back. We enjoy sharing our knowledge of fun things to do in the area and love meeting fellow travelers.
