  • we decided quite short notice to stay with Tatyana. tatyana was great in quick in communication.

we really liked the place: fun location and the house is big, bright and clean. we stayed there with our two kids, and they loved the backyard and the big TV.

there are 4 bedrooms .. two with a double bed and two addition beds (bunk-bed). so, this place can sleep "a lot of people"

    really appreciated the garage.

  • Great home & great stay. Everything was delightful!

  • Loved our stay here. We had a small group of people stay here for a few days and it was such a great experience. The house is exactly as advertised: very spacious, gorgeous and very clean. Location was also an asset - right in the heart of Haight/Ashbury. Tatyana was very responsive and communicated everything clearly and quickly. We all agreed we would stay here again!

  • This place is ideal for a team retreat! We had five people and probably could have added a few more without feeling a squeeze. The home is really well maintained in a historic spot. What's great is even though most of the house has its more old school look the bathrooms have clearly been updated and are perfect even for 5 people on the 2nd floor where there's' two full bathrooms.
You even have a garage to park in plus a spot in front. There's a great little coffee spot next door too.
We will definitely be making this our go to for work events in SF - thanks Tatyana.

  • Our stay here was terrific. The house was well-stocked & spacious, the beds and linens were very comfortable, and the neighborhood was, well...it's Haight near Ashbury...how could it not be fun. The host keep in good communication with me prior to, and during our stay. We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you.

  • My husband and our 6 month old spent 2 nights in the city at this home. We had a great time staying in the Haight and Tatyana was a wonderful host. The house was very spacious but still had the classic San Francisco charm.

  • We had a fantastic stay at the Haight Ashbury house! The house is beautifully appointed and very spacious. It feels grand, but homely. As a group of 8 adults, we had plenty of room to eat, sleep and live. All the bedrooms are a great size and having two bathrooms was really useful for getting everyone out the door in the morning! The location is great and there is a great coffee shop next door, which we frequented most mornings... The surrounding area is fun and lively, so there is plenty of shops and eateries but the house is set back, so this doesn't disturb during the night. A great place to stay in SF!

  • Tatyana and Charles were responsive, and great at communicating with us. We didn't have any complaints for them and they were checking in with us and we would recommend the rental to anyone. They house is beautiful! We traveled with 5 adults and 3 children and the house is set up for all of us. We were NEVER with hot water even with us all showering. The showers were beautiful. So so much better than getting a hotel. We loved the check-in and check-out process.. which was so easy. When we arrived they left us a surprise gift. When was unexpected and so kind and nice especially for our kids. Nice place. Great people to rent from. They have it all figured (website hidden): parking space, twice when we returned home our parking spots were taken by the construction crew working on the studio rental. After they were asked they moved for (website hidden): electricity, it is a old house, so fuses would go out without reason, lucky for us my husband was able to fix. Also only one outlet in kitchen worked - and only one thing could be plugged in at a time (or a fuse would blow).

Re location: You can walk to many classic rock/60s/70s music stars homes. We walked to the Grateful dead house and Marilyn Monroe's. It was great to be able to walk to get groceries/coffee/ shopping... the location makes this so easy. You are in the Haight Ashbury location so be okay with seeing many homeless. No one bothered us, but the nights can be loud especially in the front bedrooms.

I would recommend this house, and I would rent from Tatyana again. Great home, great location.

    Response from Tatyana:

Thank you Tracy for this positive and honest review. We appreciate every thing you said.

We gave specific instructions to the construction crew to always keep the driveway open. They knew first hand that it belongs to guests first priority. I apologize if this was not carried out completely and caused some inconvenience.

When we heard about the electrical problems, we immediately sent our electrician to come and diagnose the problems. Everything is fixed now. We’re sorry for those. We tried very hard to preserve the house and keep many of it's original details. All of these add beauty and historic value to the place.

Thanks again for staying with us. You are always welcome to come again and we’re making sure things are well maintained and preserved for the continued satisfaction of all our guests.

  • Myself and 3 colleagues stayed here for four days this past week and couldn't have been happier with the place.

Very clean, comfortable and affordable. Highly recommended!

    Thanks again Tatyana!

  • House is exactly as described. Location was great. Beds were comfy, showers worked great (there are two now). We walked to the local market and got stuff for breakfast so we could eat around the large table - there were two families.

Coffee To The People next store is excellent, Magnolia across the street was fun. The local pizza place is awful (our kids wouldn't eat it, and that's saying something). Citrus Club was decent enough.

Location is really IN the Haight, so you need to be cool with seeing homeless people. No one bothered us, and my kids have spent time in NYC, Santa Monica and Venice so they get it. But it is slightly disconcerting.

The front rooms, as people mentioned were pretty loud, it is what it is. Masonic is a pretty busy street. And keep the heat low - the left front room got crazy hot if you raised the heat about 68.

Tatyana was great about everything - she had the air mattress ready and made up for our kids, and the whole lock-box check in/out process was super smooth. I'd stay there again in a sec!
