I stayed at Linda's on the way to moving to MA. I chose this place because I needed a quiet/comfy place to sleep and it was close to the I-90. Her house was definitely a great choice.
Linda was very welcoming and we enjoyed a nice conversation while she showed me around her home. I didn't see her much after that but everything with the room was very nice and the accommodations were just as they were described.
As the room described and mostly pictured was already taken for the one night my wife and I wanted to stay, we took Linda up on her offer of another what I assume is a smaller room in her house. She indicated that we would share her bathroom. We never actually met Linda or encountered anyone else while we were in the house. So we certainly didn't feel like we were sharing a bathroom. When we communicated with Linda by text or email she responded immediately, including information about how to get into the house and even late in the evening when we were in our room and couldn't figure out how to get some fresh air or air conditioning. She also left some snacks for us in the room, a thoughtful touch. I can't speak for the other room, as I did not see it. Ours was small and a bit stuffy on a warm and humid night, but definitely cozy, clean and quiet. The neighborhood is very nice, convenient to restaurants and highways. Linda's private back yard is an absolute delight. Lots of flowers and various places to sit. I think for more than one night the room may be better suited to one person in cooler weather. But it served our purpose in very private and pleasant surroundings.
Linda was extremely helpful and super nice, although I never actually met her in person. Her place was beautiful and was a really peaceful place to stay after my long flight. The backyard was gorgeous, too. I just wish I would have had more time to spend there, and wish I could have met Linda in person!
The room is cute and clean. There are even Chinese calligraphy works on the wall which made us feel at home.
Linda is such a nice host. She is patient. I like those pics of her family, friends and pets in the living room.
Overall it was a great experience.
Linda was prompt in her communication with us prior to our arrival. When we needed to cancel our first night with her, she contacted us to let us know that we needed to do so via Airbnb in order to have that night's fee refunded...thank you, Linda! As she was working late the day we arrived, we were provided with detailed instructions for entering the house, as well as information about things to do in Buffalo (on the shelf in our room). We spent a pleasant afternoon in Linda's beautiful and relaxing back yard. The pictures are quite accurate! After an evening out with friends, we arrived back at Linda's house and met her for the first time. Bless her, she had been keeping quiet thinking we were already in bed and asleep! We had a nice visit prior to heading off to bed for the night. Note: we stayed in the 'second" guest room rather than the apartment, which was certainly quite adequate for our needs. Linda was a perfect host!
Linda was a great host. She was hospitable and willing to give us information about buffalo. The room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend her place for other travellers.
