Relax and take a holiday in sunny southern California where anything is possible. Leave your cares behind you and enjoy the sun all day.
I have a studio apartment on the 10th floor with a full bathroom which is available for short term stays. There is a full kitchen available with a refrigerator, stove and bar area. The studio has a large closet on one side and surrounded with large windows on two sides which give you a wonderful view of the city. There is a smart t.v. with cable with Netflix and Amazon streaming capability without having to hook your laptop to it. The place is fully furnished and I provide you with linens and towels. The bed is a queen size bed, medium to firm and a twin mattress underneath for extra sleeping space.
The apartment is a couple of feet away from the Metro bus and Santa Monica Blue bus stops (please do a search online for specific routes). You can take the Metro 28 (stops at every stop), or the Metro 720 (rapid bus and makes limited stops) or the number 2 Big Blue bus. The fares range from $1.25 (Big Blue Bus) to $1.50 (Metro). About 7 blocks away from the unit is a Bank of America and post office. The library is 8 blocks away. There are also many restaurants withing walking distance (Japanese, Indian, sushi, pizza, hamburgers and more) all on the trendy Wilshire area with boutiques, bars, and coffee shops.
Go hiking in the Santa Monica/Brentwood mountains, surfing in the ocean, visit the Santa Monica Pier and 3rd Street Promenade. Malibu, Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Venice, The Getty Museum, LACMA, Chinese Theater, Hollywood Bowl, Walt Disney Concert Hall and Griffith Observatory. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
My location is very user friendly, a car is not necessary for most places, you can walk, bike or take the bus most everywhere. However, please do your research about specific tourist areas you want to visit to get an accurate idea of how far away a place is from the unit and don't forget to check the map section of the listing or do a search by map on here. Remember, search engines are your friends :). Santa Monica Beach is about 10-15 minutes away by bus. Hollywood is about 20 minutes away without traffic. 13 miles/24 kilometers from downtown Los Angeles and 11 miles/17.7 kilometers to LAX (Los Angeles Airport. If you are driving, the 405 and 10 freeway are right next door :) If you do drive, you can use the spot that comes with the unit. FITS ONLY COMPACT CARS.
INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:
LINENS AND TOWELS
COFFEE *SELF SERVED
LAUNDRY ON SITE
*PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A PARTY BUILDING. IF YOU GET DRUNK AND BRING THE PARTY BACK HOME MY NEIGHBORS WILL COMPLAIN AND REPORT THIS TO MANAGEMENT. YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE IF THIS HAPPENS AND YOU WILL NOT BE REFUNDED.
Interaction with Guests
I really appreciate guests letting me know what their expectations are in terms of level of interaction. I have a regular job as well as 4 listings and I always make an effort to be as available as I can. However, I am not a mind reader and cannot guess which guests are more self sufficient and which are not. Please don't be afraid to speak up and let me know your needs.
Other Things to Note
UNFORTUNATELY I DO NOT HOST CHILDREN OR PETS AT THIS TIME.
No shoes inside please, the carpet is brand new just put in June 27th and a very light beige color.
If you are out all day please do not leave the lights or the t.v. on as that's a waste of electricity and the bill will go up significantly.
No loud noise after 10 p.m.
Guests are responsible for cleaning after themselves, i.e. dishes and pans used in the kitchen, and for long term stays (bedding, comforter and towels I provide).
No guests overnight or otherwise please. This applies to guests who were no included in your booking reservation.
Lastly, please do not go through my things. This is my home and expect guests to be as respectful as I am which means not going through my personal items.
Caroline had everything well organized and set up when I got there. The studio overlooks LA and has some incredible sun rises every morning. The location is great for public transit and is not too far away from the beach.
Thank you to Caroline for having us at her place. Condo was very nice, peaceful and comfy. Really felt at home during our stay.
The location was perfect, we had a really great time around and host was very attentive to be sure that everything was ok or if we needed something.
We like the pool very much. And I like the view from the kitchen.
I'll be back definitely!!!!!
Thank you Caroline
Great to be able to book last minute, great host, organised and diligent in accommodating us, lovely views from 10th floor. Handy spot for us visiting friends locally.
This is our second stay at Caroline's apartment. Last year we also stayed in this apartment for 3 weeks. This year we did not search another place. Because Caroline is wonderful host. She is so kind and helpful. When I text to her, she answers immediately. We felt like at home. The apartment is definetely as it is described. The location is great. Next year we want to stay her apartment again.
Caroline was a lovely host, welcoming, very helpful and easily contactable. The apartment itself was just as advertised, had lovely views of the city! And the neighbourhood/location was ideal for exploring LA!
We really enjoyed our stay in Caroline's clean and bright studio. The location was perfect for our itinerary, which included trips to Santa Monica Pier, Venice Beach, Malibu, Hollywood WoF and the Grove. The beds were comfy, and we loved all of the windows. Caroline left an assortment of water, beer, and soda in the refrigerator which was appreciated. Gated parking felt very safe. Great value for the price!
