Sana's house is great and her family is really nice. I would certainly suggest this accomodation. The only remark I would do regards the location of the house, that's not so central and the metro station is not even really close, but except of that everything's is good!
Staying at Sana's worked well for us. The house is spacious, nicely appointed, and comfortable, and our room served us well. We appreciated access to the kitchen. Sana's children are charming an energetic, and we especially enjoyed meeting Sana's mother who cooked a simple but wonderful meal for us one night and also helped us with our French. The house is a fifteen minute walk from the Bardo Museum, which ought not to be missed, and is about a 20 minute tram ride from the centre ville and Medina.
The house of Sana and Khaled is the best option for who wants to visit Tunis. Its in a calm safe and beautiful area that seems to be near all the good places in tunis. the house is so clean and comfortable and the Sana and Khaled are so sociable and friendly and they made us feel like we are members of the family ,they helped us with every possible way and we even miss them and their two cute kids.
I spent about 3 months with Sana and her very lively family (2 children 5 and 10 years old) and I really appreciated their availability.
The house is big, clean and the room that I rented out (the green/blu one) is very nice and you've a lot of space.
The neighbourhood is really "tunisian" and you can appreciate the town and the country better than in other areas.
I would therefore recommend it, particularly for short stays.
Her place is located nearby Bardo museum and little bit far from the medina, she guided us how to get there from the airport (maximum 7 USD from the airportby taxi). You can get a free SIM card from the airport, and contact her after charging little credit (3 USD is enough).
Her place has a big living room and a bath room. And the kitchen is well equipped so you can get everything for your stay including wash machine and fast WIFI access.
From here, you can walk to many restaurants, small supermarkets, and Bardo museum within 10-20 minutes. And, to medina, you can take a taxi paying about 5-7 USD.
The biggest advantage from this area was local restaurants and coffee shops where offered us nice food and service at local price (very cheap!).
Sana and Khalid were absolutely wonderful for hosting. I believe we all had a great time. They were always very kind, told me stories about Tunisia, and helped me get involved. Furthermore, the family's cooking was absolutely lovely. I would recommend this place for anyone who wants to be around good people.
