And we're back! After a long period of renovations in the building, our little house is back to welcome guests looking to discover Alfama and the city of Lisbon!

This charming apartment is decorated with charm and in a picturesque style to harmonize with the historic Alfama district.

Its amenities are modern despite being in an antique building, including air conditioning (with heat and cold options), recent windows, comfortable beds and mattresses and a fully equipped kitchen. Come and visit!

The space
Living in this space is a unique experience of contact with the neighborhood. Located in the heart of Alfama, it has a very peaceful atmosphere. Surrounded by sunny windows, where you can see the river, hear the birds and feel the local life.

Guest access
The guests will have full access to the apartment. Which includes dishes and kitchen utensils, basic consumables (napkins, coffee, salt, olive oil, toilet paper, hand and shower gel, shampoo), dish soap, laundry detergent, first aid kit, bed linen and towels, cable TV, unlimited wireless internet.
The guests will also have access to air conditioning with cooling and heating options in both bedrooms. And in the living room there is a portable heater and fan.

Other things to note
Alfama neighborhood has unique landscape characteristics, such as hilly alleyways and demanding cascading staircases. And the architecture of the existing historic buildings here is very different from the comfort of modern homes. Living in one of these houses is a journey back in time experiencing and immersing into features typical of old-world neighborhood cities and their architecture. It requires embracing the authentic charm, picturesqueness and coziness of these homes and neighborhood. We recommend reconsidering this accommodation if you have mobility issues or very tall. Staying in Alfama neighborhood is a lifetime experience. It’s the soul of Lisbon, an authentic neighborhood that surprises visitors.
Cradle of the Roman Olisipo (antique name of Lisbon), Alfama is one of the oldest neighborhoods of Lisbon and survived the devastating earthquake of 1755, preserving the labyrunthine layout of medinas traces from its Arab and Jewish past and of the middle ages.
Clusters of narrow streets, cobbled lanes, steepcases and secret alleyways just waiting to be discovered through the colourful old buildings cascading downhill towards the Tejo river.
Wherever you go you’ll find sweeping views of the city. It’s a joy to get lost in! And, of course, you are never far from a nice little café, with alfresco tables for a resting timeout while enjoying a café and a pastel de nata. Also, the scenes of everyday life and the quaint shops will bring a touch of sweetness to your stay. And at the end of the day appreciating the sunset next to the river and in the evening enjoying the poignant melodies that we call Fado, makes it the cherry on top!
